Chapter Five: A Flash of Red Light
The air was filled with the smell of blood. It filled my nostrils. I felt a bit hard to breathe. And the man standing behind me with his hands behind his back was You Mo Yu. The one bound to the frame, covered in blood and flesh, was probably the person who made those mournful cries just now.
There was a man dressed in the attire of an imperial guard, holding a whip soaked in salt water. He whipped the man repeatedly, one lash after another. When he saw me approaching, he didn't seem surprised at all. On the contrary, the imperial guard stopped his actions.
"Continue." He ordered faintly. His gaze locked onto my clear eyes. But he didn't find anything he wanted to see. Should I pretend to be a bit scared?
"Am I disturbing you?" I asked somewhat timidly. My heart, as if beating a tight drum, felt an unprecedented oppression...
"What do you think?" Mo Yu looked at me: "Madam, how did you end up here?"
"I was just wandering around... and ended up here."
"Then let's get out of here, madam. The yin energy in this prison is too heavy."
"Oh." I had just turned around. Suddenly, another miserable cry came - "Ah!" A red light flashed in his eyes. Then slowly turned around: "Use this method to interrogate prisoners. What can you ask?"
"Young Mo's eyes locked onto mine, a playful smile spreading across his face: 'What do you think, madam?'"
"Give me the silver needle." I stared at the culprit and walked towards him step by step. Stretching out my hand without even batting an eyelid.
The guard looked at Ying Moyu inquiringly. "Give it to her," Ying Moyu instructed. He wanted to see what tricks this woman had up her sleeve.
"Do you know how many acupoints there are in the human body?"
The criminal looked at me with eyes full of terror.
I smiled slightly. I took the silver needle handed over by the guard and placed it on the flame of the oil lamp, moving it back and forth to sterilize it.
"12,000 of them. These acupoints, some can strengthen the body and cure stubborn diseases. While others, can make a person wish they were dead." My silver needle flashed in front of his eyes. Evil charm smiled. In an instant, the silver needle was inserted into an acupoint on top of his head.
"Ah!!!!!" He let out a miserable cry, more tragic than any of the previous ones.
"Can't take it anymore?" I sneered: "This is just a taste of your own medicine."
"Enter the flesh in three parts."
"Ah!! Ah!!!!" He shouted hoarsely.
"Four points."
"Ah! I surrender, I surrender!"
I smiled. Slowly pulled out the silver needle. If it was fast, I wouldn't dare guarantee his life. Turned around to look at the guard's stunned expression. Responding to Mo Yu's inquiring gaze. I glanced at the person behind with a hint of meaning. Threw away the silver needle and walked quickly out of the cell. Mo Yu couldn't help but wonder: what kind of secret did this woman have?
But at the moment I stepped out of Tianlao, the red light in my eyes disappeared instantly.
"Madam, how are you?" Xia Qian looked at me with a pale face and hastily asked.
"No, nothing. Let's go." I pulled Xiaoxian and headed out. Those two idiots still haven't woken up yet. So I dragged Xiaoxian directly over their "corpses".
I just thought about moving forward and didn't notice at all the glance Xiaoxian gave me when I dragged her away from the cell, filled with worry and fear.
