“So why the hell are you here?” I heard voices from the other side. It was Loyd talking to the green emerald eyed angel. At the same time, the black feather wing that was embracing Loyd started to disappear. It was the same case for his horns. It seems that his [Fallen Angel] trait has faded away completely. “How did
“Did this angel obtain the mythology of Ezekiel or something? Why is she dumbfounded?” Soksa angrily spoke. I approached the angel carefully. I could see the invisible tears flowing out of her eyes. The ‘Archangel of the North Haven’, ‘Demon-like Judge of Fire’, and many other modifiers. Archangel Uriel is one of the strongest constellations in
“Hey.” I carefully spoke. “Are you okay?” I asked. She then finally showed a sign of the will to communicate. She nodded her head slowly and looked up to me. She was around the height of a middle schooler. Probably a maximum of 160 cm.
[Your unique ability, ‘???’ is currently enabled.]
[Your data is being synchronized.]
I felt a sudden spark in my head. It was the same type of shock I had when I first regained my memories. When I looked up, I was welcomed with the system messages. The synchronization is probably the link between me in this world and my account on the server. I didn’t even know synchronization was enabled. I opened my inventory and my status menu. Most of the items I possessed in the server were relocated to my current inventory. Some skills and abilities such as dash, scan, pokerface, and mental barriers were also applied. But unfortunately, all the mythologies I obtained weren’t loaded. I mean I understand why but I was still disappointed.
[Your inventory was last updated on December 21st, 2024, 6:45 pm.]
The unique ability ‘???’ probably doesn’t mean anything too. On the server, if things are censored, it just means that it is related to things that you can’t access yet. For example, you can’t obtain the item of the final boss if you just started working on the tutorial. The information will probably be revealed later. Maybe, it might be part of the memory I lost.
“The adversary was taken down by the sin of sloth…” Uriel spoke as she sobbed. “I… I don’t understand how… The adversary is never the person to lose to a sin, especially sloth.”
“Uriel, you have to explain everything to us. That is the only solution to saving
Uriel can’t be the only archangel left in
“I don’t know how this might sound but… Sleepy is way stronger than you think. All the other angels tried their best to stop him but no one could. Even the adversary. He knew that you guys would come so he told me to escape and help.”
“Was there anything special about him that you noticed?”
“The aura that he was sending off was different… He was like none of the incarnations I have ever seen. I felt the grade of a constellation, a demon.”
That explained many things. First, she mentioned how she felt the aura of a constellation from Sleepy. Most of the time, it is almost impossible for the incarnation to overpower and exceed their source of power but because Belphegor is barely surviving in the legendary category, there is a fair chance that he devoured Belphegor’s mythologies and literally became the sin of sloth. No wonder Belphegor was out here fighting in the battlefield. If he was still the owner of the sin of sloth, Sleepy’s powers should’ve disappeared following his death.
“Fuck… So basically Sleepy absorbed all of Belphegor’s mythologies.” Crimson sighed. I was honestly surprised that he even interpreted what was going on. “Also, what happened to you? You’re giving off a different vibe. You used to be like that one dumb nerd who didn’t know anything but now, I feel like you are giving sharp questions and becoming brilliant all of a sudden.” He pointed at me. I was surprised too. How did I analyze all of that? Is it related to the ‘???’ ability enabled? I thought it was just a random passive skill.

“That doesn’t explain anything.” Soksa spoke as she was staring at the broken debris of the gargoyles. “Belphegor isn’t even a constellation with a high grade. Most archangels are classified as at least legendary graded. Plus, isn’t sloth like one of the weakest sins? The adversary can probably burn Loyd into ashes with his flame. How the hell did he lose to the weakest sin?” Soksa questioned. That was what I was wondering about. As I mentioned, because Belphegor is a low graded star, it is possible that Sleepy could’ve over taken his spot but it also means that he should’ve been taken down easily.
After moments of wonder and thoughts, I came to a conclusion. The conclusion that the archangels and Michael lost to Sleepy on purpose. Why? No one knows. That’s what we are going to figure out from now on.
The ground shaking. It was the sound of swarms heading towards us. “Let’s escape this area first. The remaining gargoyles must be heading towards us.” Uriel led the way. All the vibration stopped when we entered through a door that looked very similar to the one we used to enter the kingdom. Small particles of light ignited and gave a clear ding sound.
[Exiting the dungeon.]
All the wounds and the injuries we obtained from the dungeon evaporated. Our stamina and mana was recharging too. There is a dungeon located here? Wait how? How are they still even a thing?
Dungeons in the server regularly was a place where you entered either to obtain loot from monsters or go through to fight the boss. One of the key functions all dungeons have is the ability to respawn after dying. If other locations in the kingdom are composed of dungeons, does that mean that death is meaningless?
“This is the interior of the tower.” Uriel introduced us to the inner core of the kingdom. Before coming to the main island of the kingdom, I always thought the castle looked very familiar. Turns out this place was actually a castle. It was a tower that was so large in the circumference that it looked like a castle. This tower was no ordinary castle. It was the symbolism for blasphemy and rebellion against God.
“How contradictory. A building that was struck down by the holy trinity, located in
“That is just a myth. The bible never says our lord struck down the ‘Tower of Babel’.” Uriel responded. She seemed a little more energetic than before. It seems time just heals things. Or maybe, she gained hope of retaking
“Yeah sure.” Loyd walked away, speaking in a mocking voice. I understand his hatred towards this kingdom. He once represented
[You have entered the ‘Sanctuary’ of
Sanctuary. I remember hearing about it once. Sanctuaries are the upgraded version of unique worlds. Each player, or maybe even the constellations too, possesses a unique world of their own. The unique world is heavily reflected on the person’s stories and personality. When you can control these unique worlds and make it greater in quality and quantity, it can develop into a [Sanctuary]. When you can take control of your unique world, you can bring it into reality and control the place completely. So a [Sanctuary] is basically the stereogram of your unique world. The thing is that if 2 [Sanctuaries] collide, one might be devoured by another. Death of your unique world defines the death of your soul. I’m assuming that this tower is the [Sanctuary] that acts as the unique world for the kingdom.
Suddenly, we heard a squeak from the top of the tower. Because the place we were standing at looked a lot like a dome, the sound ringed a little bit. When all of us looked up, a blue crystal was gliding down. It was a [Warp Crystal]. Looking back at it, the crystal was just the enlarged version of the crystal we used to travel to
There was another thing that we noticed as we stared at the crystal hovered through the air. There was a human figure located on the very top of the dome. He was restrained with enforced chains. After a closer look, I also found out that the man was stuck inside an ice sphere. Damn who could that be? Whoever it is, I kinda feel bad-...
Loyd then dashed towards the ice sphere as fast as he could. With his sword, [Requiem], he sliced the chain between the sphere and the roof of the dome and cut the connection. While he was dropping back to the floor, he grabbed onto the sphere and landed lightly. When he dropped the sphere, we were able to look closely into who the person trapped was. The ice sphere was huge, taller than Loyd. Inside was a young boy. He had wavy hair with parting in the center.
“Holy shit… Is this the adversary?” Crimson asked. Loyd nodded. The young boy Michael, the mythic constellation that protects the kingdom of
When I saw his face, I was shocked. Not only because he looked nothing like how I visualized him but I have seen this face before. At school, specifically in band. He was one of the freshmen that I became very close with in the beginning of the year. But for some reason, I couldn’t remember his name. But it can’t be right? I must be wrong. Maybe I’m confusing him with someone else. Maybe-...
“Are you okay?” Soksa set her hand on my shoulder. “You look horrified. Is everything okay?” I didn’t know what to say. I wanted to say I was but I wasn’t. I wanted to lie but the fear of believing that Michael was someone I knew was killing me. What if there are others that became constellations of this world? What if other people knew about this world? What if they wanted to abuse their knowledge of the server and destroy the town? Chills were spreading through my entire body. I knew that this was all ridiculous and probably won’t happen but I couldn’t stop thinking of the worst case possible.
My vision was blurring. Sounds were beeping out. I could hear Loyd and Soksa shaking my body and attempting to speak to me but my body froze just like the boy in front of me. The chance of the boy in front of me actually being the friend I know is extremely rare. But why is it that I keep thinking that this is true? Why am I so afraid of people coming into the server in the first place? I thought I wanted people to know about the server? Why am I acting like such a hypocrite?
[Your unique ability, ‘???’ is enabling itself to its max extent.]
Moments later, I finally spoke.
“Fitz?”
