Chapter 10: The intergalactic commission

  Station Nulu 240

The Commission was constituted with Jack Edri the new general and ambassador of pnet Earth and the null station, General Edward Starwind, leading the armed forces of Nulu 240 station. General Elisha Robden of pnet Kuirt, in charge of weaponry with technological power, and General Nevaeh Starling from pnet Gatts, who controls mobile suit technology, were also appointed. Cori Ki, commander of the military station The Orbe, and Kay H, commander of the military station Sitara, are part of this commission as well.

All of them met to discuss issues reted to the security of the 10 space colonies, new alliances, military strategies, technological advances, and decisions about the rebels harassing the small marginalized colonies.

  – I am worried about two important points, – said General Nevaeh Starling of the pnet Gatts. – First, we have left many of the military stations near the marginalized colonies poorly defended. The motherships are technologically inferior, cking sufficient weaponry, and the conditions of the volunteer cadets are increasingly precarious. We need to make firm decisions about this. The fact that our soldiers have died is inconceivable. Second, I couldn't help but notice that the Nulu military station, The Orbe station, and the pnet Kuirt are gaining more and more strength. They have the best motherships equipped with the test technology weapons, high-speed combat ships, and the best mobile suits that our pnet developed but shared with all of you. Don't you think it's becoming dangerous to allow these stations and the pnet Kuirt to amass so much power?"

General Elisha Robden of the pnet Kuirt expressed his displeasure at such cims. –General Starling, are you suggesting that our pnet would unch an invasion to take over everything? Thanks to Kuirt, people can live comfortably in the colonies, and we build military stations to protect those colonies. We are offended that you think we could be a threat.

Edward Starwind of the Nulu 240 military station quickly interrupted the discussion. –General Starling and General Robden, I understand your points of view perfectly, but rather than arguing, we need to find solutions. It is clear that General Starling is concerned about the imbance with our stations and the ck of strength in the small military stations of the volunteer cadets. Therefore, Nulu 240 will provide these stations with sufficient technology to prevent new attacks by the rebels.

  – I think General Edward Starwind's proposal is sound, – said General Jack Edri. – The rebels have proliferated near the marginalized colonies. However, I propose not only providing the necessary resources for the volunteer cadets to defend themselves but also unching a counterattack due to what has happened. They shot first, and valuable human lives were lost. Families continue to cry and ask for justice. Nothing can be resolved about the Outcast Colonies if the rebels originate from them. Although it is not the fault of these colonies, there are factions within them that are proving annoying. We need to nip evil in the bud.

Elisha Robden agreed with the proposal. – The deceased volunteer cadets were not only from Pnet Earth but also from various space colonies and the pnet Kuirt. We need to provide answers to these families. I vote in favor."

–I abstain from voting, –said General Nevaeh Starling of the pnet Gatts. – I acknowledge that the proposal is appropriate given the circumstances. However, if we retaliate harshly against these rebels, their families in the colonies will seek vengeance, perpetuating a cycle of hatred."

Edward Starwind continued, – I understand your concerns, General Starling, but if we do nothing, it's like telling them to keep killing our soldiers because we don't care. Therefore, I also vote in favor.

Subsequently, Cori Ki, commander of the military station The Orb, and Kay H, commander of the military station Sitara, also voted in favor and expressed their willingness to carry out the mission. Consequently, General Starling reluctantly agreed to vote in favor, despite having many reservations.

Edward Starwind concluded by announcing that the mission was unanimously approved and that these actions against the rebels would be carried out in four months.

Later, General Starwind and General Edri met secretly in a room with two seats facing the windows. In the center, there was a table with a bottle of wine from pnet Earth.

  – General Nevaeh Starling is very insightful, don't you think?" Starwind said.

  – He could pose certain problems in the future. If we want to move forward, we will need to make tougher decisions, and General Starling could be a stumbling block, –Edri replied, gazing at the stars through the window.

  – But he is right about the power imbance. Right now, the pnet Kuirt is the most advanced, and their strength far exceeds ours, – Starwind said, opening the bottle of wine.

  – I'm not too worried about pnet Kuirt. Elisha Robden is our ally, and if it comes to it, we have more allies within those fortresses, – Edri said confidently.

  – That 's true. On another matter, I thought it was a good idea to propose the mission to the marginalized colonies. That will expand our domain in that territory. They are certain pieces of the puzzle we are missing, and having control over those spatial domains will be beneficial for us in the future," Starwind said as they poured the wine into their gsses.

  – Starwind, I want my son Orion involved in this next mission, – Edri said seriously.

  – Are you sure? – Starwind asked with a concerned look. – He is still very young. It could backfire.

  – I need him to understand things he still doesn't grasp. He will obviously be accompanied by Ezra O'Neill to prepare him.

  – How far do you want me to involve him? – Starwind asked curiously.

  – He is an excellent pilot, –Edri stated. – I want him to be part of the counterattack group."

  – In my opinion, you're taking a big risk. He has never been in a real battle, and that could have a devastating end for you if he were to lose technical or emotional control.

  – He will overcome it, believe me, –Edri said with great confidence, surprising Starwind.

  – Understood, Edri. I will proceed as you need.

The two stayed a moment longer, toasting to the future they contempted.
