Nine Yin Scripture

  The Nine Yin Scripture

In the dark sky, black clouds were as black as ink. Suddenly, a thunderbolt shook the sky, and at the horizon, a purple flash made people unable to open their eyes. Probably, it was also at this moment that an invisible whirlpool suddenly appeared in the high altitude, and a figure fell from the whirlpool and landed in the midst of the great mountains.

With a splash, the figure fell into the pool. This pool seemed extremely deep, and he sank for a long time, until the ripples completely disappeared, without any signs of life.

Look carefully, and it turns out that there is a waterway deep in the pool. Along the waterway, you can enter a large mountain next to it. This person was washed into here by the water.

"What the hell is this place?" The figure coughed a couple of times, slowly climbing up. This... it's too dark here, can't see what kind of place it is at all. He shook his head with force, reached into his chest, pulled out a lighter, and lit it up.

The dim yellow light illuminated the surroundings, and he also took advantage of it to see clearly that this seemed to be a secret room.

Holding the lighter, the figure walked along the tunnel, step by step, towards the inside. The tunnel was not long and soon he reached the end. He looked around in slight surprise and quickly found a mechanism. With a twist, a stone gate opened in front of him. He quickly walked in and found that there was still a tunnel ahead.

This made him pause for a moment, but he still walked quickly through the tunnel.

He walked for half a day, and finally came to a stone room. The stone room was very empty, with a stone ladder leading up at the far end. He immediately walked over and stepped onto the ladder, but before long, he was blocked there, because the top was sealed off.

He searched for a mechanism and smoothly opened the stone gate above, crawling through it. What made him curious was that this mechanism led to a small space that wasn't very big.

"This is..." Standing on the steps, he felt around curiously. It seemed to be a large stone box. "No, this seems to be a coffin, could this be an ancient tomb?" He exclaimed and quickly retreated back up the stone gate, returning to the stone chamber. Holding the torch, he looked up to see that the ceiling of the stone chamber was filled with small characters, on the far right side were the four large words "Nine Yin True Classics".

"It's really an ancient tomb! Hehe......I don't even know what time it is now?"

It goes without saying that the one who knows about the ancient tomb is our protagonist Lin Heng. On that day, he inadvertently clicked on reincarnation, which made him cross over again, only this time his crossing was not just a soul crossing, but also brought his physical body with him.

"Unbelievable, the system actually sent me to this ancient tomb! This is really great!" With a pleased smile, Lin Heng calmed his mind and carefully examined the Nine Yin Manual on top of the stone.

In Jin Yong's novel, the Nine Yin Manual presents relatively few martial arts techniques, including: Sanskrit summary, Easy Muscle and Bone Tempering Chapter, Injury Healing Chapter, Pointing Hole Unlocking Chapter, Breath Holding Secrets, Nine Yin White Bone Claw, Heart Accelerating Palm, Soul Transferring Great Method, Snake Walking and Turning Technique, and Demon Subduing Fist. Among them, the Easy Muscle and Bone Tempering Chapter is the initial internal cultivation method of the Nine Yin Manual, which combines dynamic and static techniques. The greatest function of this technique is to improve one's physical constitution and rapidly accumulate true energy. In modern times, many people compare the Easy Muscle and Bone Tempering Chapter with the Yi Jin Jing (Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic), but in Lin Heng's view, the former might be even more powerful than the latter.

Yi Jin Jing, on the other hand, exhibits more of the characteristic of embracing all rivers, just like in Xiāo ào Zhōng, Yi Jin Jing can refine and absorb the true Qi of Xī Xīng Dà Fǎ. This is something that no other Qigong method can achieve, which is why it's renowned for centuries. However, what about Yi Jin Duàn Gǔ Pian? Lin Héng thinks that this Qigong method is more focused on enhancing one's tendons and bones, as well as their innate abilities.

Think about it, Huang Zong was just a bookworm, he didn't become an official until his thirties or forties, but at that age, he managed to cultivate earth-shattering martial arts skills. In the entire Jin Yong wuxia universe, only the Northern Ocean Divine Skill and this Easy Muscle Forging Bone Technique can achieve such a feat. That's why Lin Heng thinks that the greatest use of this technique is to enhance and refine one's innate physical abilities.

The martial arts that appear in the Nine Yin Manual, apart from the Easy Calf and Bone Tempering Chapter, also need to pay attention to the Secret Art of Acupoint Unlocking, the Great Method of Soul Transference, and the Sanskrit Summary. The Secret Art of Acupoint Unlocking and the Great Method of Soul Transference don't need to be said much about, everyone knows their uses, which are extremely rare. What needs to be said here is the Sanskrit Summary.

In the shooting, Master Yideng said: "My Xuan Gong has been damaged and I need to rest for five years to recover. But by practicing according to this true scripture, it seems that in less than three months, I can achieve the effect of five years." This sentence shows the pros and cons of the true scripture's general outline, but what is unclear is what this general outline is. From Master Yideng's words, we should be able to see that this general outline includes a method for rapidly cultivating true energy, with unpredictable power. Later, in Huang Rong's words, we know that this general outline involves the eight extraordinary meridians and teaches people how to open up their own eight extraordinary meridians themselves.

Lin Heng couldn't help but interject at this point, "Actually, from the beginning of Shooting Eagle, no one knew how to connect the Eight Extraordinary Meridians. This martial arts realm is only within the Twelve Regular Meridians."

In the past, it was all about the Eight Extraordinary Meridians and the Ren and Du meridians. However, originally, apart from the Nine Yin True Classic, no one knew how to open up the Eight Extraordinary Meridians through their own efforts.

Going back to the original, from Yideng Dashi and Huang Rong's words, we can see that the content of the General Catalogue is twofold: one is to allow oneself to open up the Eight Extraordinary Meridians, entering a higher realm of martial arts; the other is to rapidly increase and recover one's true qi.

These two points are the essence of the Nine Yin Scripture, and probably also the reason why Huang Zong can become a top master at such an old age. Also, the Nine Yin Scripture cultivated by Zhou Zhiruo in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber may be the method of total hard work, otherwise she would not have had internal skills comparable to Zhang Wuji so quickly.

In the Nine Yin Manual, apart from what has been mentioned above, other techniques such as the Nine Yin White Bone Claw, Cui Xin Zhang, Da Fu Mo Quan, and She Xing Li Fan, are not considered top-notch martial arts. Even if they are exquisite, compared to the Descending Dragon Eighteen Palms or the Ling Bo Micro Steps, they still fall short.

As for those who were not mentioned, Lin Heng did not know.

In the stone room, Wang Chongyang carved the Nine Yin Manual which includes the Nine Yin Claw, Snake Slithering and Weasel Turning techniques, Hole Escaping Secret, Breath Holding Secret, Soul Transferring Great Method and Muscle/Tendon Changing Bone Tempering Chapter. (Note: It is not mentioned whether Guo Jing and Huang Rong taught Yang Guo the complete Nine Yin Manual later on. If they didn't teach him, then the Nine Yin Claw was carved by Wang Chongyang and used by his descendants in the end of The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. If they did teach him, then it's not mentioned here. Let's just assume they didn't teach him since I wrote about the Nine Yin Claw. As for the Muscle/Tendon Changing Bone Tempering Chapter, it is also uncertain but was written to aid the development of the main character.)

Six types of kung fu almost filled the facts, among which there are not only kung fu, but also some things mentioned by Wang Chongyang. Look at the Nine Yin Divine Claw, he said it can break the Jade Maiden Swordsmanship, and pointed out the places where they conflict. This guy is also a competitive winner.

After a while, Lin Heng found that his lighter was about to go out, so he immediately returned along the original route, through the underwater secret passage, and exited the ancient tomb. This place should be Zhongnan Mountain, but now he didn't have the mood to appreciate the scenery of Zhongnan Mountain, instead, he seriously thought about how he could get out?

In the forest, Lin Heng walked and stopped, finally discovering a small mountain path. He followed it for about half an hour, leaving Zhongnan Mountain behind. But what made him stare in shock was that he had arrived at a place he shouldn't have come to.

"What's going on with this Taoist temple in front of me?" Lin Heng was speechless, he didn't expect that he would actually create the Quanzhen Sect. It's normal when you think about it, since the ancient tomb is behind the Quanzhen Sect, if he wants to come out, he naturally has to go through the Quanzhen Sect, unless he takes another route, but Lin Heng was completely unfamiliar with this place and could only see one road so he just walked on.

He cursed under his breath, and Lin Heng quickly dodged behind a large tree. He didn't want to be discovered by the Taoist priests of Quanzhen Sect. After all, Lin Heng's impression of them was really bad. In the entire Quanzhen Sect, the only one who gave him a slightly good feeling was probably Ma Yu. Unfortunately, that guy died at the beginning of the Divine Eagle.

"I don't know if this is a divine eagle or a shooting eagle, no way, I have to go and investigate!" Looking at the road down the mountain, Lin Heng drilled into a nearby forest and walked along the mountain path.
