Chapter Six: The Guest Arrives
But at this time, there was still an assassin who had lost consciousness in his bedroom, so he didn't even have time to ask anything. He opened his mouth and said: "Someone came to kill me, now I've knocked him out, and he's lying on the ground."
The blind young man slightly tilted his head, with a slight movement in his heart, and no expression on his face. He bowed his head and said, "What is Young Master Fan talking nonsense about?"
"No time to pretend to be profound here, you have to take care of me." Fan Xian chuckled and thought, what's the point of pretending not to know each other at this time? He didn't bother with that anymore, grabbed the blind young man's hand and headed in the direction of another mansion.
"The young master is still talking nonsense."
The blind young man slightly furrowed his brow, seemingly puzzled as to why the child in front of him seemed to know his identity - back when he had brought infant Fan Xian to Danzhou, Fan Xian was only a few months old and shouldn't have any memories - could it be that the elderly madam of the Earl's residence had told him about his own identity?
It's late at night, and from afar come a few mournful barks of dogs, who knows which household's master got up in the middle of the night and mistakenly touched the wrong door.
The blind young man, Wu Zhu, had a cold expression on his face as he listened to Fan Xian's words with his body turned sideways. He finally moved, closing the door of the grocery store and walking towards the Earl's mansion. Fan Xian felt relieved in his heart and hurriedly followed him with small steps.
They came out of the earl's mansion and two people crawled back from the dog hole, standing in the bedroom, "looking" at the assassin who was still unconscious on the ground.
Fan Xian looked at the person on the ground, unsure if he was dead or alive, and couldn't help but feel a bit tense. He turned to ask: "Wu Zhuo Shu, why have you been hiding in the general store all these years, afraid to acknowledge me?"
The blind young man called Wu Zhu tilted his head again and after a while opened his mouth to say, "Young master, you really surprised me."
He was indeed somewhat unexpected, although he knew that the child in front of him, being Miss's child, would certainly have some unique aspects, but Wu Zhu didn't think that at the age of four, he would appear so mature and could actually... secretly calculate the arrival of Lord Fei from Kyoto.
"Deal with this person in front of me first." Fan Xian exerted some effort to flip the assassin over, removing his mask and revealing his true face.
The assassin's face was gaunt, his years had already made him somewhat old, the whiskers on his chin had begun to turn white, but for some reason, amidst the white were interspersed some faintly greenish hues, which looked rather nauseating.
Fan Xian was startled and jumped behind Wu Zhu, grabbing his sleeve and humming: "Uncle, this assassin doesn't look good."
"This is the chief of the third department of the Control Yuan." Wu Zhu slowly crouched down, touching the assassin's chin. "One of the three people in the world who are recognized for their expertise in poisoning, proficient in poisoning, detoxifying and antidotes. Such a formidable figure was actually killed by you with just a ceramic pillow. I don't know if it's because you're extremely lucky or he's extremely unlucky."
"It's his bad luck." Fan Xian silently said to himself, although he was very surprised by the big name on the ground, but thinking that the other party had encountered a monster like himself who looked like a baby but was actually a two-life demon, the other party's luck was indeed not good.
"Don't touch him with your hands, what if he's poisonous?" Fan Xian reminded the blind teenager Wu Zhu.
Wu Zhu didn't stop his actions nor did he explain anything, but that burst of energy made Fan Xian feel like the other was indicating to him that there wasn't a poison in this world that could kill him.
Fan Xian furrowed his brow and asked with a bitter face: "Uncle, what should we do about this person?"
He wasn't naturally sociable, but in this world, the blind teenager before him was his first acquaintance and the only person he dared to trust completely. He knew that the other party was a formidable strongman, so he deliberately acted cute and respectful, with the word "uncle" never leaving his mouth.
His eyes darted around and finally landed on the knife, gritting his teeth, thinking that he might as well stab this Lord Fei to death.
Noticing his movements, Wu Zhu stood up and shook his head: "Your temperament is too different from Miss's, at such a young age, you are so ruthless and cruel, I don't know who taught you."
"I learned it myself." Fan Xian didn't dare to offend this strong person he trusted the most, and said very respectfully: "Nephew knows that uncle has been guarding the grocery store to protect nephew, and also knows that uncle is afraid that mother's enemies will find me here because of uncle's existence, so he didn't stay in the earl's mansion, so nephew can only be a bit more ruthless."
Wu Zhu shook his head again and didn't say anything.
Fan Xian knew that his mother's servant was suspicious of him and asked with a smile: "Uncle, what to do next?"
His meaning was clear: it's better to let Wu Zhu uncle handle this kind of thing.
Unexpectedly, Wu Zhu said faintly: "Young master, you've hit the wrong person."
"What? Wrong person?" Fan Xian was stunned on the spot, slowly lowering his head to look at the assassin with a bloody face on the ground.
"But the fight has already happened, so there's no need to think too much about it." Wu Zhuo said quietly: "Fei Da Ren is the head of the third house of the Supervisory Institute, with a hidden identity... To be precise, he is your father's subordinate. So this time he came to Danzhou, it should not be to kill you, if he really came to kill you, I believe that no matter how capable Young Master is, he would have died countless times."
Fan Xian suddenly thought of it, this assassin on the ground seemed to have said that he was sent by his own father before, but...
……
……
"Day, long like T-BAG, who dares to believe this old lecher."
————————————————————————
For years, Fei Jie had been staying in the Kamo Shrine of Kyoto's Supervision Institute, an old man in his fifties. Although he had some reputation such as using poison on everyone, overall, he was already in a semi-retired state. This time, if it wasn't for a powerful person asking him to come to Tan Prefecture to give lectures and he didn't have the courage to refuse, he would never leave Kyoto.
But I never thought that the first time I saw my student, I was beaten by him with two big bags, bleeding half a bowl of blood, and almost lost my life.
He looked at the little boy in front of him and found that his face was full of innocence and cuteness, with big eyes flashing back and forth, mixed with a hint of fear and shame. Such an adorable little face, combined with the identity of the little boy, made his anger nowhere to be vented.
He turned his head to see a servant-like man, who was about to vent his anger on the other party: "Who is that! Don't you dare untie me quickly! I am Fei Laoshi, hired by Count-sama at a high price."
Who knew that the servant seemed even prouder than him, completely ignoring him and coldly saying: "In the agreement between me and your superior, it seems there is no part about you being a teacher."
"Master Wu?" Fei Jie's eyes widened, his somewhat cloudy and brown-rimmed eyes clearing as he took in the servant's appearance, and he let out a loud start: "Master Wu, it's really you."
After hearing the assassin wake up and claim to be Fei Jie, Fan Xian felt that this matter was indeed very puzzling.
