Yin wind 033

  Dark wind

The evil woman is reborn, the whole city is in an uproar. Within a day, the news of her rebirth has spread throughout the imperial capital, and the people are so angry that they can't help but clench their fists and stamp their feet, cursing the heavens and earth, saying that she has no eyes to see, and only lacks pointing at the sky and scolding the earth.

Just as everyone on the streets and alleys was discussing Bai Liuli, a delicate sedan chair emerged from a small alley south of the White Mansion and headed west, finally stopping in front of an ordinary family's door. A middle-aged woman who had been following alongside the sedan chair cautiously looked around before respectfully saying to the person inside: "Miss, we've arrived."

Only a soft response was heard from the sedan chair, apparently a woman's voice. A woman wearing a dark blue cloak and a wind hat walked out of the sedan chair. The middle-aged woman immediately reached out to support her, walking up the low stone steps in front of the black-gray courtyard door with peeling paint. After looking around again, she picked up the old door knocker and gently knocked on the closed courtyard door.

The woman just stood by, slightly lowering her head, the low-hanging wind hat almost completely covering her face, making it impossible to see her features.

Before long, the tightly closed courtyard gate was opened from inside. The one who opened the door was a young servant in green clothes. He only glanced at the woman and the lady once before immediately bowing his head respectfully and making a "please enter" gesture towards the woman, as if he had been waiting for her all along.

The woman slightly raised her hand to the lady when she stepped over the high threshold, and the lady immediately understood, turned around and waved her hand to the sedan chair bearer waiting outside the courtyard. The sedan chair bearer immediately carried the soft sedan chair from in front of the gate and walked away.

The young servant in green immediately closed the door and led the woman inside.

Inside the small courtyard, fallen leaves and withered leaves were all over the ground. The wildly growing weeds had now turned yellow and withered. Cobwebs filled the short eaves of the corridor, looking like no one had swept for a long time. A gust of autumn wind blew by, rolling up the withered leaves at the woman's feet, dirtying her clean embroidered shoes. However, the woman seemed to not notice, continuing to follow the young servant in green clothes into the house. It was the middle-aged woman who had been following behind the woman all along whose face revealed a deep look of disgust.

The corridor was very short, and in less than twenty steps, they reached the corner. However, once they turned the corner, the young man in green stopped moving forward, and the middle-aged woman also stopped after taking a glance ahead. Only the woman wearing a dark blue cloak continued to move forward.

After turning the corner, there is a small garden, but in this season, the flowers have already withered and fallen, leaving only a few yellow leaves. In the northeast corner of the garden, there is a small pavilion made of bamboo, with a blank wooden plaque hanging above it, revealing a quiet and elegant atmosphere.

In the center of the bamboo pavilion, a man wearing a dark green narrow-sleeved long shirt stood with his back to the stone path leading to the pavilion, his hands clasped behind him. His long hair was tied up in a high bun at the back of his head, and his broad shoulders and narrow waist made for a perfect figure. Just from his back view alone, he already gave off an elegant and refined air, like that of a handsome young nobleman.

The woman walked along the winding stone path towards the bamboo pavilion, her steps light and soundless. The man laughed, his laughter cold, "Miss is really hard to invite, I almost thought Miss's status had changed and couldn't be invited anymore."

The man sneered and turned around, his elegant eyebrows and eyes still exuding a refined air. Who else could it be if not Yu Shiyan? However, at this moment, the smile in his eyes was completely different from the warmth he usually showed on the surface. Instead, there was a deep, mocking chill. He fixed his gaze on the woman, took two slow steps forward, and said sarcastically with a smile: "Oh, I forgot, you didn't successfully become the young mistress."

"Am I right, Pearl... Miss?" Yu Shiran's smile suddenly turned sharp.

The girl lifted her hand and pushed away the wind hat on her head, revealing a face that was enough to match the phrase "overturning cities and overturning cities", which was undoubtedly as white as a pearl.

Cloud King Mansion, stone carving courtyard.

A hundred miles away, a cloud eagle sat on the top of a Xi Wang's head, leaning against the sharp horn on his forehead, as if this was his favorite place. He slightly raised his head and gazed at the gray-blue sky.

He wore a black mask with empty eyes today, still in the same black clothes that never changed color, but today his black clothes had dark red silk embroidery of qilin patterns on the front lapel, cuffs and waistband. I don't know if his eyes, gazing at the sky, were focused or not. After a moment, he raised his left hand, lifting his wrist to eye level, and concentrated his distant gaze on the dark red qilin pattern on his cuff.

Is it dark red? In his eyes, it's just a less black black color.

It's black, this is the most intense color, it should be black without a doubt, he remembers someone once told him that it was black.

Just as Baili Yunfei focused his attention on the dark red qilin pattern on his sleeve, a small black shadow fell onto the back of his hand. He lifted his head again, and the pure black Ha Dongqing was hovering above his head, slowing down its speed as it approached him.

Only to see Baili Yunfei lift his left arm, which was wearing an iron guard, and the black feathers on his head flapped a few times before stabilizing on his left forearm. Baili Yunfei habitually raised his right hand to smooth out the hair on his back.

"Coos..." Hei Yu was being petted by Baili Yunfei, extremely enjoying it, and continuously making cooing sounds from his throat, as if he were talking to Baili Yunfei. After petting the feathers on his back, Baili Yunfei scratched behind his neck and said calmly, "Ah Nuo went to the White Manor, Yu Shiyuan also went to the White Manor."

"Xiahou Chen has indeed calmed down." Baili Yunxiao seemed to be muttering to himself, and once again lifted his head to gaze at the gray-blue sky, "Heiyu, what do you think, what color is that exactly?"

"Ggg...?" Hei Yu tilted his head, those sharp and keen eyes looked like a naive child's, staring at Bai Li Yun Xiao, blinking as if he understood what Bai Li Yun Xiao said, yet seemingly not understanding at all.

"There's nothing you can tell me." Ba Li Yun Xiao seemed to smile slightly and stroked the black feathered head once again.

"Grandfather." Just as the man and eagle were communicating, a black shadow suddenly appeared in front of Baili Yunxiao, with a cold yet extremely respectful voice, it was Wang Yue.

"Have you found evidence of his crimes?" At the appearance of Mochizuki, Hyakuri Unchou's gaze did not waver, still looking up at the sky.

"No, but I've caught someone related." Mochizuki's voice was as flat and emotionless as a machine, just like the impression she gave off as a whole person - cold and gloomy.

"Hmm, lock him in the water dungeon for now." Ba Li Yun Xiao's voice was still calm and collected, "Continue investigating, if by tomorrow we still can't find..."

Baili Yunxiao's unfinished words were cut off, and his gaze finally fell on Wang Yue. Wang Yue immediately lowered her head, "Wang Yue knows what to do."

"Then go ahead, if you can't solve it, come back and tell me."

"Yes, sir. I'll take my leave first." The black shadow flashed again, and Wàng Yuè's figure instantly disappeared from the courtyard.

After Wang Yue left, Bai Li Yun raised his left arm and flapped his black wings to leave.

Xia Hou Chen's anger will not subside for long.
