The Eleventh Incarnation of the Earth's Cycle (One)
The huge sound caused by Kunpeng's refining of the treasure startled Emperor Jun and Donghuang Taiyi, who were setting up the 'Zhou Tian Star Array' in the Heavenly Court. They immediately ordered someone to monitor everything on the Taiyin star to find out what Kunpeng was doing.
The refinement of the instrument has caused such a commotion, which was not expected by Kun Peng. He put away the spiritual treasure and said: "Wu Dao, this time I have refined the instrument to shock the heavenly court, let's take advantage of their delay in arriving and leave quickly."
Kunpeng put away the 'Divine Fire Tripod' and forcibly extracted half of the Moonlight Origin, leading Wu Dao to leave Taiyin Star and head towards Honghuang.
Arriving at the human residence, Kunpeng hastily took out the refined spiritual treasure and carefully examined its quality. After a moment, he nodded in satisfaction.
"Just listen, he said: 'Wu Dao, your luck is very good. Originally, I thought it would be fine to refine a high-quality postnatal spiritual treasure, but unexpectedly, you were able to cultivate a low-quality prenatal spiritual treasure. Although it's only a low-quality prenatal spiritual treasure, it's not inferior to a medium-quality prenatal spiritual treasure, and in terms of attack, it even surpasses it. This treasure weighs about 10,000 catties, and after being refined, its size can be adjusted at will, making it very suitable for you.'"
Kunpeng said, and then he handed over the Xiantian Lingbao in his hand to Wudao, his eldest disciple. Then, he also took out the 'Divine Fire Tripod' and handed it over to Wudao together. Although the 'Divine Fire Tripod' was good, it was of no use to Kunpeng, and it was better to give it to his disciples for self-protection.
Wu Dao's face was flushed with excitement as he took over the 'Divine Fire Tripod' and that rod-shaped Pre-Heaven Spiritual Treasure, hastily saying: "Thank you, Master, for bestowing treasures."
"Alright, you should give a name to that Pre-Heaven Spirit Treasure first!" said Kun Peng with a wave of his hand.
Wu Dao said: "This treasure is refined from the essence of laurel and stardust, it's called 'Stellar Moon Divine Needle'."
Kunpeng said: "Wu Dao, I'll give you these few pre-heavenly spiritual treasures for you to refine and cultivate. I have other matters to attend to and can't stay here for long, so you take my place and guard the human tribe well."
"Wudao nodded and said: 'Disciple obeys, will definitely guard the safety of the human tribe.'"
Kunpeng instructed his good disciple and then left the human settlement, wandering around the desolate wilderness. He had only one goal for this trip, which was to catch up with Zuwu Hou's reincarnation before he became a mortal again, so as to gain merit for himself.
Hard work will not betray those with a heart, at the foot of Mount Buzhou, Kunpeng met Hou Tu, although the two tribes of Wu and Yao were constantly fighting, but Kunpeng had never intervened in the struggle between the two tribes, and Hou Tu was the most kind-hearted among the twelve ancestral witches, so when they met, there was no conflict.
Kunpeng stepped forward and said: "I have met Hou Tu Daoist friend before, I don't know why you are thinking deeply here?"
The Ancestral Witch said, "Due to the struggle between the two tribes of witches and demons, the vast land has been damaged, countless lives have been destroyed, and their souls have nowhere to rely on. I want to seek a chance for them to survive, so that they can have a place to settle down, but I don't know where to start."
Kunpeng exclaimed: "The love of the Houtu Daoist is truly admirable. The struggle between the Wu and Yao tribes has indeed brought boundless disasters to Hongyuan. Under such great karma, the fortunes of the Wu and Yao tribes will surely be greatly damaged. If this continues, the Wu and Yao tribes may face the danger of extinction."
The Ancestral Witch said helplessly: "What the Demon Master said is true. After the last battle, the two tribes of witches and demons have become like fire and water, with no possibility of reconciliation. The struggle between the two tribes has caused great damage to both sides' vital energy. Although the Nüwa Goddess has already ascended to sainthood, she is still in the demon tribe, and although their vital energy has been damaged, it is not a big problem. But my witch tribe is far inferior to the demon tribe. If we are not careful, there will be a disaster of extinction."
Kunpeng said: "Although Nüwa is a saint, she can't completely protect the demon clan. With Donghuang Taiyi as their leader, they won't have a good ending."
The Ancestral Witch looked at Kunpeng and asked: "I don't know why the Evil Master is not in the Heavenly Court to receive blessings, but instead came to this Desolate Expanse?"
Kunpeng sighed: "Houtu Daoyou was joking, let alone accepting good fortune, it's not easy to save one's own life. Although I am a demon master, I have no status in the heavenly court because of my disagreement with Emperor Jun and Donghuang Taiyi."
The ancestor witch Houtu asked in confusion: "It's not that I don't believe you, Daoist friend, but this is too unbelievable. The demon master was personally appointed by the Demon Emperor Yuanshi, how could it be possible for you to not get along?"
Kunpeng said, "It's no wonder that Hou Tu Daoyou doesn't believe me. The discord between me and the two Demon Emperors, Di Jun and Dong Huang Taiyi, is mainly because Dong Huang Taiyi is too arrogant and conceited, plus some special reasons, which led to today's situation."
Kunpeng said up to this point, paused for a moment, and thought in his heart: "The Heavenly Way has destined Hou Tu to transform into the Six Paths. I'd better give her some pointers, gain some merit, and avoid having too many dreams tonight."
At this point, Kun Peng couldn't help but say: "It's not too difficult for Hou Tu Dao to give these souls a place to settle down, just establish the Six Paths of Reincarnation and all problems will be solved."
Houtu asked: "Qunpeng Daoyou, I don't know what the Six Paths of Reincarnation are. Can you explain it to me?"
"The six paths are the heavenly path, human path, Asura path, animal path, hungry ghost path, and hellish path. The top three paths are the three good paths because their causes and effects are relatively minor; the bottom three paths are the three evil paths because their actions are more severe. All sentient beings in the cycle of birth and death follow one of these six paths. What is meant by 'cycle' refers to the coming and going, like the rotation of a wheel, constantly circulating within these six paths without exception, hence it is called the six-path cycle."
Houtu listened to Kunpeng's words and asked again: "Then how should these six paths of reincarnation be distinguished? Can't they just choose a path at will?"
"Then how can it be possible if they are allowed to choose their own path? Wouldn't that lead to great chaos in the world? The soul must rely on the cause and effect of its past life to determine which path to take. Those with heavy karma must enter the hellish path, undergo punishment, and wash away their karmic energy before being reborn; those with lighter karmic energy must be cast into the hungry ghost path or the asura path, shed their karmic energy, and then re-enter the cycle of reincarnation. Those with the lightest karmic energy should enter the animal or plant path, undergo reincarnation, shed their karmic energy, and re-enter the human path. All living beings have karma; as long as they do not accumulate karmic energy, they can re-enter the human path, seek to turn the wheel of heaven, and shed their mortal body. If one accumulates good deeds in life, has great virtue in the world, or is protected by the residual merit of others, they will be reborn into the heavenly path, enjoy all kinds of blessings and good fortune in the human world, and glory, wealth, and nobility are minor matters; even becoming a sage-king is possible."
Houtu said: "If it is really so, then in the future all living spirits will have a place to return to."
Houtu seems to have seen the six paths of reincarnation standing between heaven and earth, taking charge of the grand cause-and-effect reincarnation. So, he made up his mind to build this six paths of reincarnation. He asked again: "I want to build this six paths of reincarnation, I hope Kunpeng Daoyou can tell me specifically how to do it."
Kunpeng heard this and said gloomily, "Houtu Daoist friend, if you want to build these six reincarnation cycles, it will come at a great cost. Are you sure you want to build these six reincarnation cycles?"
Houtu saw Kunpeng's gloomy expression and knew that building the Six Paths of Reincarnation would be very difficult, and she might have to pay a great price. However, she had already made up her mind to build the Six Paths of Reincarnation in order to protect all living beings under heaven.
She only said: "Brother Kunpeng, please speak your mind. I must establish these six reincarnations, even if it means sacrificing my life!"
As soon as Hou Tu's words fell, a mysterious yellow energy descended from the void and entered her body. This was the Great Dao's response to Hou Tu's oath, demonstrating its supreme power and willingness to lend her a helping hand. Hou Tu felt an sudden surge in her cultivation, and the previously unattainable realm of the Saints seemed within reach. Gradually, she began to feel as if she already possessed the strength of a Saint, yet her realm remained stuck at the quasi-Sage level, with no change whatsoever.
Kunpeng understood the situation and knew that this was the Heavenly Dao acknowledging Zu Wu Hou Tu's oath. He said, "Since Hou Tu has already decided to do so, I'll speak directly. To establish the Six Paths of Reincarnation, one must be like Pangu Da Shen and use their body to transform into the Six Paths of Reincarnation. However, doing so would undoubtedly result in one's own death."
Kunpeng said this, and then shifted his gaze around, some of them didn't dare to look at Hou Tu again.
Because this was Hou Tu's own choice, she did not blame Kun Peng at all, but instead said: "Hou Tu thanks fellow Daoist Kun Peng for his guidance."
Kunpeng listened to Tudi and said, "I feel a bit embarrassed. Since Tudi can sacrifice himself for the sake of all living beings in Honghuang, I will also lend a helping hand. I have a pre-heavenly spiritual treasure that can replace you in reincarnation, perhaps it can save your life. However, the six paths of reincarnation are inherently yin and need to be established in the Blood Sea of Youming."
Kunpeng said, and then took out the top-grade pre-heavenly spiritual treasure 'Reincarnation Treasure Mirror'. It turned out that he didn't intend to abandon this treasure after all. Seeing Hou Tu's kindness, he couldn't bear it and wanted to do his part.
