The Thirty-Seventh Hong Jun Emerges, Re-Establishing the Heavenly Court
After the war of the witch and the demon, Honghuang was broken, the spiritual veins on the earth were mostly severed, the spiritual energy was severely lost, and all living things in the world were in a state of panic. This disaster is something that even saints cannot make up for. Hongjun retreated to the Chaos Heaven after merging with the Tao, but now he has no choice but to show himself.
Hongjun represents the Heavenly Way, and no major event will be lightly interfered with in the Honghuang world. Now, Hongjun suddenly issued a decree, and all the saints did not understand why Hongjun came out of the mountain, so they couldn't help but feel anxious, and they all waited for the arrival of Daozu Hongjun in the Heavenly Court with a belly full of doubts.
Before long, the sky transmitted a series of bell chimes and jade sounds. The crowd of saints looked up to see a purple cloud carrying Hong Jun Dao Zu, with two young boys following behind him. The male boy held a golden bell, while the female boy held a jade chime, seemingly slow but actually swift, floating in mid-air as they came.
Upon seeing Hong Jun, none of these saints dared to be slow again. They all bowed down and said: "Greetings, Master."
The Ancestor Hongjun said calmly: "Now that the Honghuang is broken and shattered, the heaven and earth are collapsing, and the spiritual energy is scattered. You must work together to restore the Honghuang continent."
The Three Pure Ones first expressed their stance, saying: "The Desolate Expanse is the foundation of the existence of all living spirits. We should do our best."
Jie Yin and Zhun Ti also hastily said: "We are willing to do our part for the living beings of Honghuang too."
Nüwa said: "What the teacher says is true, but can this Honghuang really be completely restored to its original state?"
All the saints had this question, so they all looked at Hong Jun. Hong Jun said: "Since it can't be completely restored, it can only be seen how much of the Honghuang Benyuan Lingqi has dissipated. You don't need to worry about those scattered small fragments, just join forces to gather the large fragments that are roughly intact."
The saints listened and each found some larger fragments, activated the mighty divine power, and forcibly gathered them together. When the Honghuang was broken, those spiritual veins were destroyed. Now, although the saints can restore the earth, they have no way to deal with the spiritual veins.
The Patriarch Hongjun slightly opened his hands, then merged them together in the middle, and let out a low growl: "Merge." Instantly, the scattered fragments of the spiritual vein underground moved and recombined into a new spiritual vein, releasing countless heavenly and earthly spiritual energies once again.
Daozu Hongjun stretched out his hand and drew a mysterious trajectory in the air, and the fragments of the universe flew up, transforming into stars all over the sky. When he saw that the stars were already formed, he grasped at the air again, and points of light flew from the chaotic world outside the 33 heavens. He then extended his fingers and plucked them one by one, causing the points of light to fly out and disappear among the stars. Immediately after, beams of white light shot down from those stars, which were actually the light of the celestial bodies, full of the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
The multitude of saints saw the divine powers of Hong Jun and only then did they realize that the methods after merging with the Tao were truly not something these saints could compare to. With this thought, the multitude of saints also had a sense of vigilance in their hearts, it seems that from now on they still need to be low-key in their actions, lest they go against the will of heaven.
The vast land of Honghuang reunites once more, and the spiritual energy between heaven and earth continues to surge forth. Although it is still far from its former state, at this rate, the land of Honghuang will one day recover to its original level.
That day the heavenly court restored its starry sky, and once again it was resplendent as in days of old. Hong Jun said: "This is the Heavenly Realm; all who hold positions of authority in the celestial bureaucracy reside here."
Hong Jun pointed to the restored Honghuang Dao and said, "From now on, this realm will be called the Dixian Realm. This Dixian Realm is the foundation of the three realms. You all must take good care of it and not let it suffer any more damage."
The newly formed Xian Tian realm is divided into four parts, with high mountains and vast oceans separating them. The eastern part of the land is where people are talented and the land is spiritual, with clear mountains and beautiful waters. Many cultivators above the Golden Immortal level in the human tribe, as well as many scattered cultivators from the Desolate Expanse, choose to cultivate here in seclusion. The southern part is a mix of dragons and snakes, where the defeated demon tribes that surrendered to Nüwa have settled, each occupying a mountain peak and dominating their own territory. The western part is close to the Western Sect's sacred land and has the Five Watches Pavilion of Zhōng Yuánzi. As for the northern part, it is the place that best preserves the original appearance of the Desolate Expanse, where poisonous insects and ferocious beasts roam everywhere. Although these insects and beasts cannot cultivate or transform, they all possess great divine powers and are violent in nature. Even ordinary Golden Immortals would not be their match. Later, the various saints arranged for the remaining Shu tribe to settle here, as the Shu tribe is warlike and can indulge themselves here. If they were to go elsewhere, it would be inevitable that they would conflict with other living beings.
After doing all this, Daozu Hongjun said: "The Heavenly Court cannot be without a master for a day, do you have a suitable candidate?"
Yuanshi Tianzun hastily said: "The disciple Guangchengzi under my gate has great magical powers and wisdom, he can be the Heavenly Emperor."
The Tongtian Sect Master stepped forward and said: "My disciple Zhao Gongming can become the Heavenly Emperor."
Yuanshi Tianzun was originally resentful because Tongtian Jiao's master did not lend a hand to help himself, causing the Xiantian Zhizhen 'Hundun Bell' to escape. Now Tongtian Jiao's master is competing with him for the position of Heavenly Emperor, how can he not be angry? He coldly snorted and said: "The disciples under your door are all demonic creatures, without cultivating virtues, how can they become the Heavenly Emperor?"
The Tongtian Sect Master said in a stern voice: "My disciples do not cultivate virtues, but what great virtues do the disciples under your brother's gate have? Can they sit on this Heavenly Emperor's throne?"
Yuanshi Tianzun saw Tongtian Jiaozhu in such a difficult situation, and his heart was even more resentful of him, but he couldn't answer Tongtian Jiaozhu's questions, so he could only stare at Tongtian Jiaozhu fiercely. Although Tongtian Jiaozhu had the "Zhuxian Sword Array" in hand, he didn't have a spiritual treasure to suppress the aura, so he made up his mind to take down the Heavenly Emperor position and also suppress the aura of the Intercepting Sect, so he ignored Yuanshi Tianzun's angry gaze.
The Taoist patriarch Hongjun saw that his two disciples were fighting over the position of Heavenly Emperor, so he called upon two children and said: "I will now establish you two as the masters of the heavenly court." He then took out four magical objects - a mirror, a sword, a flag, and an immortal peach. The mirror and the flag were given to the boy: "This mirror is called the Mirror of the Vast Heaven; I bestow it upon you, and from now on your name will be Haotian, as the first of the heavenly court." The flag was one of the five elemental flags of the Primordial Heaven, specifically the Western Flag of the Cloudy Border of the Gathered Immortals. He gave the sword and the immortal peach to the girl: "The sword is called the Separating Scenery; you were formed from the condensed yin energy of the Primordial Heaven, and will be the leader of the female immortals of the heavenly court, in charge of the Jade Pool, with the name Wangmu. The immortal peach is the spiritual root of the primordial water; after eating it, plant its seed to suppress the heavenly court's vital energy."
The peach that the Queen Mother of the West obtained was also the flat peach in Heaven later on, and this move by the founder Hongjun was also a preparation for Heaven to recruit manpower in the future.
Two children received Hongjun's gift and asked: "Master, who is in charge of each department in the heavenly court?"
"Go and discuss it with your fellow disciples," said Daozu Hongjun. After that, Daozu Hongjun stopped talking and returned to the Chaotic Heaven on his own.
Haotian saw Daozu Hongjun leave, and there was nothing he could do about it. He had to go forward and pay his respects to the various saints, bowing to each of the masters and asking how to set up the heavenly court.
The Supreme Elder Lord said: "Junior Master, please stay in the Heavenly Court for now. After we have settled the Earthly Immortal Realm, we will come to discuss with you the matters of establishing the Heavenly Court."
The multitude of saints returned to the Realm of Earthly Immortals. At this time, within the Realm of Earthly Immortals, the scattered human tribes on those small fragments were relocated, along with their entire tribe and surrounding mountains, waters, and lands, to the Realm of Earthly Immortals through a feat of moving mountains and seas. It was also because of this move that the Human Teachings would surely flourish in the future.
After tidying up the boundary, several saints made an appointment to go to the Heavenly Court and discuss with Haotian and Wangmu about establishing the Heavenly Court.
This re-establishment of the Heavenly Court is not very significant for several saints. Although the Heavenly Court was established by Daozu Hongjun, it also has nothing to do with these saints, so they don't take the Heavenly Court to heart.
Haotian had always been unwilling to be a child in the Purple Mansion, and he had always wanted to find an opportunity to stand out. However, Hongjun didn't speak up, so he didn't dare say anything either. Moreover, back then in the vast wilderness of Honghuang, even if the two tribes of witches and demons were to pick someone at random, it wouldn't be someone they could handle. So, every day, Haotian would hide in the Purple Mansion, diligently serving Hongjun and cultivating whenever he had free time. Now that Hongjun has spoken up and let the two enter the Heavenly Court, Haotian and Wangmu feel like an opportunity has arrived, and with Hongjun as their backing, they also feel more confident, thinking of making a big move. Although the two have been practicing Tao for many years, they had always lived simple lives in the Purple Mansion, so naturally, their thoughts were also very simple, and they hadn't considered the pros and cons of the situation.
Two people have been by Hongjun's side for so many years, not to mention anything else, at least this network is still quite extensive, and they have also made acquaintance with many scattered cultivators. Taking advantage of the Sage's arrangement in the mortal world, Wangmu gathered these scattered cultivators from all over the place together. These scattered cultivators either did not want to join the Sage's sect, mixed up in those disputes, or had no opportunity to worship and could not worship even if they wanted to. Although it is said that practicing alone does not involve cause and effect, who knows when disaster will strike from heaven while sitting at home. If a powerful cultivator comes knocking on the door that day, with no backing behind them, they can't escape even if they want to.
Now that they knew Haotian and Wangmu were in charge of the Heavenly Court on behalf of Hongjun, they realized that the opportunity had arrived. If they entered the Heavenly Court, at least they would have a reputation for righteousness, and at that time, no matter who it was, they would have to weigh their own strength before making a move. Moreover, as old friends of Haotian and Wangmu, they wouldn't be treated too badly. Although the two men's magical powers were not particularly impressive, they were still trusted confidants of Hongjun, otherwise why would Hongjun entrust them with the management of the Heavenly Court? As a result, a small number of scattered cultivators followed suit and joined the Heavenly Court.
Although some scattered cultivators joined, Zhou Tian Xing Dou was not something that these scattered cultivators could control. Therefore, the Heavenly Court still lacked manpower, and both of them placed their hopes on the various Saints, hoping they would send some disciples to the Heavenly Court to help manage it.
