Chapter 63: Goodbye House.

The first list was of the Thunder Birds, Elizabeth could see at the very top the name of the weird bird that had been acting all cocky with her…And it was crossed out several times only to be written bellow, after some point it seemed as if whoever had taken this had surrendered and let the stupid thing have its name there.

Followed that one more names stood, most followed the same style of naming.

  –

And the list went on and on…

"Mordred?" Elizabeth said, turning to look at the black-haired girl.

"Yes Mistress?" Mordred answered with a knowing smile, this girl knew what she was about to ask didn't she? "As you may have guessed, that list includes all the Thunder Birb within [Terra Nexus] every new one that is birthed gets its name engraved there too."

  God damned!

"*Le sigh*, I'll take these five," Elizabeth said picking the top five names, more likely than not these were the fastest since they stood at the top.

These birds had been born from her pride; no way they didn't fight their way to the top of the list.

"A fine choice Mistress," Mordred said taking back the thunder birb list and offering another list.

It was the time for the Fire Salamander.

Those born from Rena's Wrath and Elizabeth's Fire.

"Let's see what Tiffany has to offer." Elizabeth took in the list, and…it only had ten names on it.

All of them sounded like the name a girl part of a cheerleader squad would have, and that was kind of funny, Elizabeth half expected Izanami-sounding names since they had been born from Rena, and she had that style of naming. Not this one.

  -

"Pick these ones," Elizabeth said choosing five of them, she hadn't picked Tiffany since she hadn't offered herself, but she got good vibes from these. Mostly since they had actually added what they were good at, unlike the Thunder Birbs.

As for her Shadow Dragons? Well, these had only brought five, and she had no problem with the choices.

A Shadow Assassin for communications, a Shadow Tank for defense, a Shadow Knight for offense, a Shadow Mage and a Shadow Healer. Quite the good party they had set up, Elizabeth was quite proud of the fact that even though they were the most numerous of them all.

The Shadow Dragons were also the most organized and prepared, she knew that most of the Shadow Dragons were closer to…crazed fanatics than anything else, as evidenced by Mordred outburst when she was given a body.

But the fact that they still were less chaotic than the literal newcomers was good.

"I assume there wasn't much problem preparing your picks?" Elizabeth asked turning to Mordred.

"None at all, Mistress; while we all wish to serve, we all know that there must be order and to be better than the newcomers," Mordred said, bowing slightly to her, "Also, most of the Shadow Dragons, while fervent servants are quite…simple."

…Was it only because her Shadow Dragons were the ones that weren't technically alive? She hadn't attempted to grant them the same treatment as the others…Mostly because she wasn't quite sure what Sin they had, they… didn't feel like any of her Sins.

So she wasn't quite sure they were like the others; she… didn't have that many sins around, did she?

And even if she did, she would need to match their Sin with something else. She had tied Pride with Lightning and Wrath with Fire. So what would she tie her Shadows with?

Her first instinct was Sloth, but she didn't have Sloth. Then perhaps she could use Envy? She did have that one…And she also had Greed, but neither seemed to match her feelings for the Shadow Dragons quite well.

She was lazy, yes, and she sometimes envied other people; she would never share her things if it was possible, so she did match Sloth, Envy, and Greed. But her shadow dragons? They didn't feel like that.

Instead, it was closer to something else, something perhaps more… basic?

The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

She didn't know what. But she would need more time, it wasn't that important since she already had her Shadow Dragons.

"Okay, set up the guard duty. Always have at least two Shadow Dragons in each guard rotation. I want at least the Thunder birbs to never be alone." That was important, she didn't trust those birds to be calm. "And make sure they don't destroy anything."

She hoped nothing too valuable would be destroyed…

"They will be set up as overwatch Mistress, so don't worry," Mordred said calmly.

"Good, good job Mordred." Elizabeth nodded and dismissed Mordred, she then turned to Rossie and Rena.

Neither seemed troubled by her shenanigans with the minions.

"Then, are we ready?" Rossie asked as she placed her empty dishes to the side.

A little girl came from nowhere to take it away as soon as Rossie left her plate at the side, the little girl took everyone's dirty dishes and moved to the kitchen.

"Thank you Olrun." Elizabeth said, acknowledging the little girl.

"...It's nothing," the Valkyrie answered with a nod, they had started to be less...wary, at least some of them.

It was kind of cute in some way how these girls reacted to her sometimes; so far, Elizabeth had managed to get most of them to act normal.

But some still remained quite hostile, while others just straight-up ignored her.

At least Elizabeth had learned most of the names already.

The first one was the leader of the Valkyrie Order, Sigrun their Captain. She was one that did her best to speak to Elizabeth as politely as possible, she was also one that Elizabeth was sure still held a grudge against her.

Following Sigrun was Skuld, her second in command, and the little girl that Elizabeth had learned first of.

Then they had Brynhildr who Elizabeth liked to call only Bryn, she absolutely hated her, no doubt about it, part of the reason was probably the fact that Elizabeth started calling her Bryn from day one.

But who could blame her? What kind of name is Brynhildr? Elizabeth liked that one, she had a coarse outside, it reminded her of Rena. So she ought to be the sweetest of them all, and Elizabeth would get to the fluffy inside even if it was the last thing she did!

Then there were the weapon Valkyries, Geirdriful a Spear warrior, Goll the Axe wielder, Skall the Sword user and Hildr the Halberd user. To Elizabeth that only meant that there was two spear users since a spear and a halberd were about the same to Elizabeth.

After that stood the other group of girls, the ones that were...more willing to work with Elizabeth, namely: Rota, Mist, Hrist and Eir.

A glasses girl who liked robes and was in charge of the logistics(Rota) within the Valkyrie Order, their Mages (Mist and Hrist) and their Healer(Eir).

She was kind of surprised about the fact that they already had a Healer set up; she had needed to set up one of those for the Shadow Dragons since they mostly... preferred to be destroyed and remade than to be healed.

Now, after that only three Valkyrie remained, the loner edgy looking ones Herja(Sniper) and Hrund(Assassin), both used weapons that didn't match the theme of valkyries since one used a sniper rifle, that while designed to look mystical, it was still a sniper rifle, and the other used modern looking daggers and had a handgun.

It's not very set up with the Nordic theme. And last but not least... The Valkyrie Elizabeth spoke with the most, Olrun The Chef. Why? Because it was the one that helped Rossie cook, Elizabeth was sure that Olrun had been made like that by Beatrice so Rossie could have someone to help her while cooking.

It had been one of the things that Beatrice helped Rossie with after all.

But that was beside the point; they had to leave.

"What will you do with the Valkyries Rossie?" Elizabeth said, at her question Olrun had almost skipped a step, but continued on taking the dirty dishes to the kitchen.

"They can come to wherever I am if I call for them, so it doesn't really matter if we leave them or not," Rossie answered. So they did work like her Shadow Dragons huh.

Just only for Rossie, perhaps she could tie them to Rossie's Lu-

  *Sound of a plate breaking*

Yeah, probably a bad idea, who would even think tying a group of little girls to Lust would be a good idea anyway.

"Is there something the matter Olrun?" Rossie said to the little Valkyrie in the kitchen.

"Sorry about the plate, Mistress, I felt as if someone had just thought the most stupid thing ever, but remembered who you were speaking with. So it is fine." Olrun said.

Well, rude. Elizabeth also had good ideas.

  ...sometimes.

"I see, well. Please help settle the defenses on our home and tell your friends to be ready in case we need a distraction." Rossie said as she stood and stretched.

  Cute.

"As you wish, Mistress," Olrun answered in kind; it was kind of cute seeing the Valkyrie Girl saluting Rossie with a kitchen apron.

But it was time to leave then...Elizabeth wasn't sure what to think about that, the last time she had left her home...wasn't that good of an experience, well to be honest neither the one before that...or the one before that...

Actually had something good ever come of leaving her house?

No, couldn't she like...just stay here?

Never leave? Live the life of a normal person, marry Rossie and Rena...End all of this?

Dedicate her remaining time to finding a way to bring Beatrice's Soul back and turn her into a real daughter, live happily ever after...

  She could do that...

She didn't need to deal with all the evils that remained in the world right. Someone else would do it eventually, it would be a subpar ending true. And it left many things unfulfilled.

She wouldn't get the Gem of Sloth, surely that was somewhere around her. True, but did she really need that?

Elizabeth could probably make her own eventually if she lazed around for a couple years, yes.

  Let's do that.

"Eli-Eli? Let's go, we will miss our appointment." Not that Rossie would let her.

  Dang it.

"Sure, do you have our luggage ready?" Elizabeth said as she stood up and made sure everything was in order.

  Clothes? Check.

Purse? She never really used those that much.

  Make-Up? Check.

  Pockets? All the pockets.

"Of course, most of it is on the [Inventory] but we do have a couple travel bags for questions ready," Rossie said, summoning a set of backpacks, one for each.

Elizabeth's travel backpack was more of a duffel bag than anything. While Rossie's was closer to a fashionable bag...And Rena's was a regular backpack.

...Did this reflect in some way or form their owners?

Well, Elizabeth didn't mind it that much, but she also liked fashionable bagpacks...

"Thank you as always, Rossie..." Elizabeth said, picking up her duffel bag and taking a quick peek at it. Elizabeth found all the things she needed to sleep and/or laze around. "...Never mind, you are the best girlfriend ever."

  What?

Elizabeth was a simple girl; she didn't need complicated, fashionable bags; besides, if she had one of those, she would need to mind where she put her stuff. With this, all it took was to lie down and use the duffel bag as a pillow!

"Say goodbye to the house, everyone~," Elizabeth said as they walked out of the house.

"Goodbye house," Rossie said she didn't take too much time; that was such a Rossie thing.

"...Goodbye...home." Rena on the other hand took an extra second and careesed the door into the house.

  Adorable.

As they left the premises of their house Elizabeth was steadily feeding Mana into the mana arrays under the house, these weren't as good as what Mother had left, nor what Grandma had used. But even so, they were being powered by her, someone who already was on the ranks of the most powerful people in the world.

It would be extremely difficult for someone to break in and do as they wished, and should anyone even attempt, her minions would be the first to find out.

All it would take was a second and Elizabeth could return here, and then... well, if they managed to get in, it would only mean they also were S-Tier threats.

And Elizabeth was very interested in any S-Tier that would actively attempt to mess with her, it would make her life easier if they did so. It gave her an excuse to get info from them after all.

With that out of the way they called a cab and got on it, the house didn't look any different as they got on it, nor did the mana leak. Elizabeth was, if nothing, very good with Mana Manipulation, and having so many of her Minions there helped in sending the Mana in without anyone being the wiser.

"Were to?" The driver asked as he eyed the three girls getting into his cab.

At least he was a gentleman and pretended not to ogle at her girlfriends (It was obvious he would ogle at her, she was a looker, after all).

"The Teleportation station." Elizabeth said without missing a beat, "Please."

"Sure do." The cab driver said, as they left Elizabeth couldn't help but look back.

She would really miss those days, but time waits for no one.

  ----------------------------------------------

The teleportation station, a place that...You know what? Screw this place.

Elizabeth didn't really need to come here, and the only reason she was doing so was because it made things easier.

"Let's go Eli-Eli, the agent must be waiting for us." Rossie also didn't take time to look around here.

"Okay Rossie," So Elizabeth followed after the pink-haired girl.

All around there weren't that many people coming in, most students were already back at the MPI in case they didn't got someone to study under, or were with their teachers already.

So really, only people here at the moment were civilians with cash to burn or other Heroes coming and going, mostly B or C Tier since most people above A tier had some way to move around.

"Welcome, can I look at your tickets?" The man at the desk said when he saw the three girls coming their way.

"Here, we have one reservation for the MPI." Rossie said pulling out three pieces of papers from their [Inventory] and placing them on the counter.

"Hmm...Yes, one Rossaline Singh, one Elizabeth Starbright...And one Watanabe Rena, it checks out, please come this way." The clerk said motioning for the three girls to pass throught an arch, "This will take a moment, we are testing a new device that the [Nine Stars] is providing, it will help us scan for illegal devices and dangerous mana types."

  Dangerous mana types?

All Mana was dangerous though? It depended how it was used.

"After the whole [Shadow Tide] thing, they are clamping down on the dangerous subtypes. Apparently the [Shadow Tide] was a victim of a subtype, something to do with [Fake Divinity] or whatnot." The clerk said shruging, "So? Who will be first?"

  Who indeed...

"Identify," Elizabeth intoned staring at the archway, this...this needed some research before any of her girls walked pass that thing.
