A few hours later, Evelynne showed up to the meeting....Hunter raced over to her. This time, his eyes were wide with fear. Evelynne snickered. "What? Did Beast put another tarantula under your pillow?"
"No, Malakai's here....and something's wrong with him. I think you should come see for yourself...." He started walking, then stopped to look at her. "By the way, THAT THING wasn't a tarantula, it was the fucking size of my dog!"
Evelynne snickered as she looked at Mica. "He says it was your size!" She cackled.
Hunter then was freaking out and making a noise. "It wasn't THAT big! Fuck Evelynne....now that's locked in my brain!"
She laughed and looked at Mica again. "He doesn't like fuzzy wuzzy animals!"
"Oh, FUCK YOU, Eden!"

When they reached the small room, Hunter braced himself as he opened the door with caution. Evelynne stepped in, and she was horrified by what she saw.
Malakai now had streaks of a deep, almost black, purple veins bulging out all over his face and arms. His eyes were no longer black, they became a shiny purple....the same shine that the crystal had. He was scratching vigorously at his arm, causing a rash.
Evelynne raced to him and tried to pull his arm away, but he was too strong! "Hey, hey, you're going to get an infection!" She made another attempt to draw his arm away from him, but he ended up hitting her in the face. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Malakai shouted. This made Evelynne jump. Her friend wasn't the kind of person to be aggressive.

"Look, go to a medic, I'm sure you can get help from somewhere."
Malakai growled as he jumped on her, completely smacking her head on the stone floor. She groaned in pain. Hunter grabbed him and backed away slowly.
"I'm only trying to help you!" Evelynne croaked.
"YOU INVADING MY GOD DAMN SPACE DOESN'T HELP ME AT ALL!" Malakai roared.
Hunter let go of him and immediately grabbed her, and together they ran out of the room. Hunter turned around and locked the door, before Malakai could escape.
Evelynne cried fearfully and hugged Hunter. "What's wrong with him?" She whimpered.
Hunter sighed. "That crystal you gave him....has it affected you too?"
"No! I've had that with me for a few years. He just got it two days ago! Why doesn't it affect ME?"
Hunter shook his head in disbelief. "I don't know..."
She cried. Her friend would never act like this......he was always warm and kind to her. He was her best friend. Now he's turned into a fucking maniac!
"We have to take that crystal off of him, I believe that will help him recover..." Hunter suggested.
Evelynne shook her head as she remembered what Malakai showed her earlier that day. "He cut himself with it, it won't do any good if we take it off of him."
"Aw, shit!" Hunter said disappointedly. He then turned to her. He grabbed his knife and unlocked the door, but Evelynne grabbed his bicep. "Don't! I have a friend who can help!"
Hunter sighed defeatedly, then looked at her again. "Alright, but for now...he stays in there!" The tan boy then pulled out a familiar piece of jewelry and handed it to Evelynne.
She looked down at it in surprise, then back up at him. "How did you get this?"
"Don't ask." Hunter grumbled. "You need to get rid of it. I don't want to see another one of our members become a rabid freak!"
Evelynne nodded in agreement. She then shoved the necklace in her pouch. "Don't worry, no one's going to snag it. I'll keep it."
Hunter nodded in acceptance.

The following day, Evelynne woke up to the sound of someone rapping vigorously on the door. Thankfully her father wasn't home to hear THIS ruckus. She went over to the door and saw that a frightful yet irritated Hunter was on the other side.
Evelynne tilted her head as she yawned and smacked her lips, looking at him, sleepily. "What's up, mate?"
Hunter panted and looked at her with wide eyes. "He's escaped!"
