  "Daddy, Mommy, don't leave me behind! Mommy, Daddy!" she cried out as she woke up with a start.

  "Lelie, what's wrong?" He was startled awake by her crying and shouting, jumping from the small bed next to hers.

  "Huan Huan, I dreamed that my dad and mom didn't want me again? Waaahhh... What should I do? I miss them so much, really miss them!!" She hugged his neck and sobbed loudly, her tears seeping into his clothes, penetrating his skin, and piercing his heart.

  He didn't say a word, just held her in his arms and sat her on his lap, holding her tightly in his embrace.

  "Huan Huan, I don't have a dad or mom anymore, I only have you."

  He gently patted her back and whispered in her ear, "Le Le, don't cry. Le Le, stop crying. Le Le, if you keep crying, I won't know what to do!"

  "Lè Lè, you..." He found her crying like a tearful person under the banyan tree, wanting to speak but having nothing to say.

  "Huan Huan, you're a big liar! You said you'd always be with Le Le, but now you're going back home with your grandfather and don't want Le Le anymore! Le Le hates you, really hates you, and doesn't want to have anything to do with you for the rest of her life!"

  "Le Le, I'm sorry. But I'll come back for you, I swear!"

  She gazed at his receding back, and burst into loud sobs on the big banyan tree. He heard it, and his footsteps involuntarily turned around, walking back to stand behind her, looking at her small body trembling violently because of crying.

  "Huanhuan, Brother Huanhuan, don't go, don't!!" She cried as she ran after the black sedan, tightly hugging the little bear in her arms.

  "Huanhuan, don't leave Lele behind! Huanhuan, you can't go! Lele won't be angry with you anymore, Huanhuan!!"

  "Waaah~, Brother Huan, don't leave Lele behind!!"

  She chased after it with all her might, but could only watch as the car got farther and farther away.

  In her panic, she took a shortcut and ran down a small slope, just as she was about to catch up, but was knocked flying by an oncoming vehicle.

  "Gu... Huanhuan, don't leave Lele, gu!" Fresh blood gushed out of her mouth, but she kept shouting his name over and over again, while the crimson blood stained the snow-white little bear in her arms.

  That little bear, its body was very white, but its head was a bit twisted. On that sunny afternoon, Dad and Mom stuffed the little white bear into her arms, she stood excitedly on the street hugging and kissing the bear, but didn't notice that there were no longer any parents by her side.

  She cried and searched for a whole day and night on the streets, but couldn't find her father or mother, nor could she find her way back home.

  Later, she carried the little bear and cried into the orphanage. That night, she took scissors and cut off the little bear's neck. Until Huanhuan appeared and found the broken little bear that had been thrown under the bed, he sewed the little bear's head back on with needle and thread. When she held the somewhat disfigured little bear, she cried to her heart's content.
