Looking at us from within the cave was the old Sehat had poihe way to civilization some time back. To my surprise Birch let out a gasp of astonishment as a look nition appeared on his face. "Trent!?" he excimed in astonishment. The Se merely snorted in amusement at the professors rea. "I take it you know this pokemon then?" I asked Bird he nodded vigorously. "Tyson was his trainer before old age took him. I khat all of Tysons pokemon were released as per his will but I had never expected to e across one of them like this." he said holy.-

  "No wonder he's s , I always thought it strange for such a powerful pokemon to be here until now but that ahat." I said calmly. It didn't surprise me to learn that the old gym leaders will was respected and his pokemon released despite the unbahey could bring to the ecosystem if they wao. Especially sihis was one of the leaders personal pokemon which meant that it was likely champion tier in terms of skill and experience. I retty sure that the only reason it's level was so low was that it was suffering old age and injuries.-

  "Ued pokemon aside this was the cave were we stayed before you met us." I said casually. Birch looked it over carefully at this point and clearly spotted the tray previous residency here. The charred bck spot on the ground , the cw marks Gaia left oone as she dug it out as a Larvitar and even a few hairs that Vul shed while healing that were left on the ground. "It's strange how perfect this spot is for survival" he said slight fused.-

  "What do you mean?" I asked curious at his statement. "The pt of this cave , the surroundings and even the pokemon found in this area are all nearly ideal for survival. You have water , food be found not far from here and this cave serves as a perfect pce to take shelter from the elements. It's hard to imagiruly malicious psychic type would knowingly send you here , it's simply too perfect. The possibility of it being uional is unlikely as well sihe pokemon tampered with your memories as well." Birch expined and I was surprised about it at first.-

  How could I not be? Until now I had assumed I was just randomly chucked into this world by whatever brought me here but now that Birch poi out this spot really was a little too perfect. "I holy 't say for sure what it was that sent me here but this is where I met both Gaia and Vul so I am grateful either way." I said holy with a small genuine smile. "Perhaps it was a member of the mew species that sent you here? No one has ever figured out why they do some things and this mystery fits them like a glove." Birch offered an unsure expnation.-

  "Mew , species?" I asked genuinely fused since I had thought there was legitimately one one Mew. "Ah right! I fot that this was not publiowledge. Well basically there are two types of Mew , the progenitor Mew that is spoken of in legend as the in of most pokemon we know today." He said before cheg to make sure I was able to follow what he was expining. I nodded and he tihen there is what we call the Mew species which is believed to be that Mews pureblooded desdants and hold great power."-

  "These are the ohat seem to travel the world correg ban ecosystems and sometimes interfering in the lives of humans. We don't kly how many members this species has due to their ability to perfectly mimiy pokemon species letting them blend in. It may only be a handful or even thousands but we have no idea. All that is really known about them is hear say and legends as none have ever been captured or killed. The few fossils that have been found have been studied but are almost never plete enough to get any useful data." Birch expined seriously.-

  I was VERY ied in information like this as it was very different from what I knew and was thus a hing. I suddenly remembered the task I wao get doh this trip and ged the subject. "As a gym leaders pokemo here is probably pretty good at not actally killing his oppos right?" I asked while pointing at the Se with my thumb. Birches eyes lit up "Now that you mention it that would work out perfectly!" he said eagerly. "So how about it old man , think you have it in you to give this youngster a firm ki the backside?" I asked the old Pokemon with a smirk. Trent snorted and got up slowly and hopped out of the cave on it's rge furry club like tail.-

  "Looks like you are feeling spry today huh old man?" I joked and Trent snorted in amusement. We headed over to the spot my pokemon usually used for training and sparring and Birch rubbed his eyes as if he thought he was seeing the wrong thing. "You weren't joking about how destructive your pokemon were , look at this pce!" he excimed. I shrugged at that since I had never exaggerated when I talked about what they were capable of should they get serious.-

  Sly did as I had taught it and quickly checked the terrain before taking it's position while Tre directly opposite Sly casually. "Start!" I called and backed away from the area alongside Bird my pokemon. Sly started out with a tackle towards Trent but the older pokemon didn't react at all. I was starting to wonder if it had gone senile when it sudden moved. In a blur of white glow and movement the older pokemon vanished from it's location with a stupidly fast quick attad smmed into Sly , hard. The ra pokemon cried in pain as it was unched backwards from the sheer impact of the attack.-

  I could almost feel my jaw dislocate at the sight of an old pokemon absolutely manhandle a younger orents move pool was clearly extensive as it used close to a dozen different moves all while holding baough not to fatally injure or knock Sly out. It was a brutal beatdown that was holy hard to watch as Trent barely even seemed to be using any effort iter while Sly looked like a particurly mean saw had went to town on it. It was worth it in the end though when Sly lit up and was covered in a glowing rainbow light orb.
