Reaction of each religion

  The Master of Tongtian returned to the Biyou Palace and gathered his disciples, saying: "The disciples of our sect have committed murder and the calamity of sealing the gods is about to begin. All my disciples must close their cave doors tightly and wait quietly for the great calamity to end. If you go out and get stained with evil energy, then you will be on the list of those to be sealed by the gods, and even I won't be able to save you. From today onwards, I will no longer give lectures. Wait until the sealing of the gods is over, and then come back to listen."

  "Master, I have many disciples who are officials in the Shang Dynasty. When the great calamity arrives, we can retreat and meditate in seclusion, but what about them?"

  The Tongtian Sect Master sighed, "Those disciples who were officials in the Shang Dynasty are probably unable to escape this great calamity. In the previous two discussions about sealing the gods, your two senior uncles joined forces to pressure me, wanting me to take over their disciples and put them on the list. I naturally couldn't agree. Today is the last discussion about sealing the gods, but the Zhancheng Sect still wouldn't give up. In the end, everyone had no choice but to have one person not sign, so except for the Quan Sheng, anyone who enters the world will have a chance to be on the list."

  Duobao Daoren said: "Teacher, you say that the power of our sect is far inferior to that of the Yan Jiao Sect. But I think that when the great disaster comes, my disciples will be like a million immortals coming to pay their respects. When the time comes, my disciples will rush forward together, and the disciples of the Yan Jiao Sect will surely fall, while my disciples will be safe and sound."

  Tongtian Jiaozhu sighed: "Duobao, your idea is good, but it's not realistic. If we do as you say, our sect will be destroyed. Do you think your two Shibo will allow us to do so?"

  Duobao Daoren heard the words of Tongtian Jiaozhu and immediately understood, his own thoughts were not good, if he acted according to his thoughts, even if Jiao was strong, it would be destroyed. So he hurriedly said: "The teacher's words are correct, the disciple is a bit too impatient."

  The Master of Tongtian said: "Sages do not die or perish, the struggle is for the great teachings' prosperity, so nothing can be done too excessively, otherwise disaster will surely strike."

  "Master, are we really going to abandon those disciples from the Shang Dynasty? If so, I'm afraid it will lead to chaos and unrest among the people."

  The Master of Tongtian said, "Of course, we can't ignore them. Now it's still early for the sealing of the gods. You can pass on my teachings and order them to return to their respective caves to meditate quietly, don't get involved in worldly disputes anymore, this way you can avoid calamity."

  "Master, I'm afraid it's not easy to let those disciples who are officials in the Shang Dynasty return to the mountain. On one hand, our sect has a deep connection with the Shang Dynasty, and if we withdraw all our disciples at once, it will cause dissatisfaction from the king of Shang, which will have a great impact on our preaching among humans. On the other hand, those disciples who are officials in the Shang Dynasty are all prominent figures, and I'm afraid they won't be willing to give up their wealth and glory."

  Tongtian Jiaozhu sighed: "Duobao, the difference between wealth and freedom is huge. If they can't even tell this apart, then being beheaded is their only choice."

If they themselves did not cherish it and ended up dying in vain, being controlled by others, they couldn't blame anyone else. They could only blame themselves for being too greedy for glory and wealth.

  The Master of Tongtian said, looking at Duobao Daoren who was deep in thought, and then returned to the Upper Clear Heaven. The disciples of Jie Jiao were shocked when they heard the conversation between the Master of Tongtian and Duobao Daoren, and after their teacher left, they hurriedly asked each other about this matter, which startled Duobao Daoren out of his meditation.

  "Everyone, brothers and sisters, this time it's just a disciple of the Exhorting Teachings who has committed murder and incurred karma. It has nothing to do with our Intercepting Teachings. You don't have to be too concerned, just follow Master's instructions and return to your respective caves, close the cave entrance, quietly recite the 'Yellow Court Scripture', and wait for this great calamity to pass."

  The crowd of disciples heard the words of Duobao Daoren and thought that it was indeed reasonable, so they didn't say much more and each returned to their own Daoist temple for quiet meditation. As for whether they could listen to Duobao Daoren's advice, it all depended on their individual fortunes.

  Yuanshi Tianzun returned to his own Daoist temple with a heavy heart after discussing the list of sealed gods, he couldn't understand why Taishang Laojun suddenly changed his stance and no longer supported him in suppressing the disciples of Jianchu from being listed as sealed gods.

  It's not that the Jade Pure One changed his stance, but rather that at that time and under those circumstances, he couldn't make any excessive moves, otherwise it would have made the Western Two Saints, the Goddess Nüwa, and the demonic master Kunpeng laugh, and as a result, the Three Pures' faces would have been completely lost.

  Of course, the Tai Shang Lao Jun did not act in this way just because of this point. All things present at the scene of the Dao Zu Hong Jun cannot be done according to their own will. Once they over-repress the Tong Tian Jiao Zhu and cause his resistance, making it impossible for the Feng Shen to proceed, then the Dao Zu will definitely intervene in the matter of the Feng Shen, forcing them to sign the Feng Shen Bang.

  Once things have reached this point, any plotting is futile, and no one dares to disobey the law of Daozu Hongjun. As a result, both the Human and Xuan teachings will suffer heavy losses. If everyone doesn't sign up for the ranking list, it's up to the disciples' abilities to decide who gets on the list or not. This way, we can deliberate more and let the disciples of the Cutting Path get on the list.

  Yuanshi Tianzun didn't think of this point mainly because he was too concerned about the matter, which disturbed his mind, so he didn't understand the inner meaning implied by Taishang Laojun's suggestion.

  On the way back to the dojo, Yuanshi Tianzun thought for a while before understanding the underlying meaning of Taishang Laojun's words, and when he did, he couldn't help but let out a sigh.

  However, with the support of Taishang Laojun, it does not mean that things will be as easy as he thought. The personality of Tongtian Jiao's master is extremely arrogant, and there are many disciples under his door. Compared to Juejiao, Yanjiao is just a few kittens. Each of the Juejiao disciples can drown the Yanjiao disciples with just one spit.

  Yuanshi Tianzun thought of this and felt a sense of heaviness in his heart, thinking to himself: "If I had accepted many disciples like Tongtian back then, I wouldn't be having such difficulties today. Everywhere I go, I have to consider my disciples, and if I'm not careful for even a moment, they'll get me into trouble."

  Yuanshi Tianzun returned to the Jade Void Palace and gathered all his disciples together, telling them the result of this signing and sealing of the Divine List, letting them be more careful themselves.

  The three religions' disciples, after hearing the warning of Yuanshi Tianzun, were all terrified in their hearts. Last time, after discussing the Seal of the Gods list, the teacher was still full of confidence and told them not to worry too much. Unexpectedly, the final result of signing and sealing was a great disappointment for them. The disciples of the three religions, Ren, Xuan, and Jie, each relied on their own abilities to decide who would be listed.

  Guang Chengzi heard the explanation of Yuan Shi Tian Zun and asked, "Master, the Jie teaching is called Wan Xian Lai Chao, with many disciples under his door. If they all come out together, what should we do?"

  Yuanshi Tianzun said: "Don't mind this, although there are many disciples under the Jie Teaching Gate, if they really want to do so, their master will come out to deal with it."

  Yuanshi Tianzun sighed and continued, "I truly hope that the Intercepting Sect would act in such a manner. This way, I will have sufficient reason to accuse you, Tongtian Shifu, and let the disciples of the Intercepting Sect take your place on the ranking list, thus ending the karma of murder that you incurred back then."

  Guang Chengzi was overjoyed after hearing Yuan Shi Tian Zun's words, but he thought again and realized that Tong Tian Jiao Zhu wouldn't make such a low-level mistake, giving Xuan Jiao an opportunity.

  In the midst of explaining to all the immortals, Xiang Liang had the greatest opinion regarding Yuan Shi Tian Zun. If it weren't for Guang Cheng Zi causing trouble back then, these people wouldn't have been implicated and committed murder. Just then, Xiang Liang asked: "Master, when this boundless kalpa arrives, how should we act in order to avoid this disaster?"

  Yuanshi Tianzun sank into thought for a moment, then said: "You all committed murder in your past lives, and this calamity is fraught with danger. If possible, it would be best for each of you to take on one disciple, using the method of substitution to let them replace you on the list, perhaps allowing you to safely avoid this calamity."

  After hearing the words of Yuanshi Tianzun, all the Xian of the Xuandu sect were very happy. Although the method mentioned by Yuanshi Tianzun may not be completely effective, it is better than nothing. So they all remembered this matter firmly in their hearts, hoping to find a disciple who could replace them on the list. This is also why none of the Xian of the Xuandu sect were listed during the ranking of the gods.

  Yuanshi Tianzun's idea was indeed very clever, and the final result of the matter was just as Yuanshi Tianzun had thought. Although the Immortals were beheaded by Sanxiao Niangniang's 'Nine Bends Yellow River Formation' and their five internal organs were closed, they did not die and were listed on the heavenly board, which was a very good result after all.
