"Welcome to the visitation building or are you here to visit a student or to see someone visiting you?"
The question still was weird for Elizabeth even when the woman said it again when the three girls didn't answer it the first time.
"Ah, sorry," Elizabeth said after a few seconds, "We are here to see our masters for the internship of our third year here."
"Oh, you poor things, you didn't get an internship till now? We are almost half a year into the year…It will be quite hard for you, but keep the fighting spirit!" The woman said, rude. "Don't let it bog you down, even if some people say that only getting an A-Tier internship would be the only way for you to graduate. Keep working!"
This woman…
"What are your names, girls? I need to register it and compare it with the records to guide you to your teacher for the internship." The woman said smiling at the, Elizabeth…wanted so hard to let her Mana flood out and press it against this woman, to make her drop against the floor…
The things she would do to that smug face, Elizabeth wanted to pin her against the floor and strip her naked, to make her beg for death, to ravage the body and spit it away as the trash it was for DARING TO LOOK DOWN ON ELIZABETH AND HER WIVES.
“Rossaline Singh, Watanabbe Rena and Elizabeth Starbright.” The sweet voice of Rossie sounded while Elizabeth was thinking about how to act.
The pink-haired girl's hand squished her own, Elizabeth couldn't help but turn to look at the pink-haired girl whose sweet smile soothed her soul.
"Can you check your records, please? We don't want to make wait for OUR teachers," Rossie said, still smiling.
That was weird. Usually, it was Rossie, the one to blow out of proportion most of the slights against them… But right now, Rossie merely shook her head.
"Sure thing, your…teachers….huh? Something must have gone wrong. Can I see some IDs, please?" The woman said flustered.
"Sure thing, Eli-Eli, Ren-Ren let's give the NICE lady our Id's." Rossie was still all smiles, but Elizabeth noticed, there was no light in that smile.
Elizabeth understood it now…What was Rossie's angle here?
"Do you need a mana sample too?" Elizabeth said smiling like Rossie, she now knew why Rossie was acting like that.
"....Yes please." The woman said sweating as she scanned the ID's and her skin started turning pale and paler by the second.
Elizabeth had no doubt that the system had said who was waiting for them and who they were. She probably hadn't been at the tournament of last year, but surely the rumors of who won and how had spread.
The rumors of how Elizabeth had fought against someone who was stronger than her and how she had won. About what she had summoned…And now, the woman must know too.
"...Elizabeth Starbright….S-Tier [Hero], S-Tier [Magical Girl]..." The woman said returning her ID.
"...Watanabe Rena….A-Tier [Heroine]...." The woman's skin was probably as pale as a white jade.
"....Rossaline Singh…A-Tier [Magical Girl]....S-Tier [Healer]...A-Tier [Witch]...." Wait what? Why did Rossie have three tiers?
"...Your…Ahem…Masters are waiting in….this is the key to….do you….need…." And just as Elizabeth took the key card the woman ended up fainting, she had a very unhealthy white tone and she hit her head as she fell into the floor.
"Should we….do something?" Elizbeth asked, her previous anger replaced by amusement.
"She will be okay, someone will notice it at some point. I'll send a message to Agatha about it to get her removed." Rossie said as her fingers danced around a holotablet (Why couldn't they dance around Elizabeth's body…)
"Be nice, she had no way of knowing how stupid and pitiful she was." Rena said from the side, and while it was…In theory, a defense, it was more like Rena put her more down.
"Well, no matter." Elizabeth said, raising her finger, "Mordred, send someone to guard her; it wouldn't do for someone to use this opportunity to abuse a defenseless woman, no matter how…misguided she is."
"As you wish Mistress," The answer was immediate, and a Shadow Dragon dressed in a knight armor materialized beside the unconscious woman, "Should we provide first aid?"
"......Only if it's critical for her survival…Or in any wound that could leave scarring, even like that no girl should scar their body because of their stupidity." Elizabeth ended up saying, the minion in answer to this merely made sure the woman was in a more comfortable position (And one that didn't expose her underwear).
They weren't cute (Her underwear) at all.
"So to meet our new friends then…" Elizabeth sighed as she started walking into the building.
There weren't many people around, and the reception hall was empty besides the three girls, the unconscious woman and the shadow dragon. Elizabeth was not sure if this was because of someone's meddling or if they finally had some luck going for them, but whatever it was, she wouldn't look too much into it.
The walk there wasn't that long either, they merely walked into the elevator punched the correct buttom and arrived at the penthouse floor.

Elizabeth marveled at the fact that the elevator and doors were almost four meters tall, probably to accommodate the more…tall people around; that was one weird trend in the powered world.
The more the men grew in power, the more tall and muscular they became. Elizabeth was unsure if it was because of Papa or because the men's brains worked like that, somehow thinking that the taller and more muscular they were, the more strength they would have.
It was, honestly, stupid. Elizabeth wouldn't complain aloud though, she liked to look at the tall handsome muscular heroes after all. Not like she could talk too much about that side of her hobbies with Rossie or Rena though.
One outright despised the opposite sex, while the other had phobia to them. Perhaps when Rena overcame that? Not that Elizabeth thought it would be possible, well, it probably was possible. But if Rossie had something to say about it, chances were that it would turn from a phobia into hate.
*Sigh*
"Should we knock?" Rossie asked when they finally arrived at the door, for some reason the door into this apartment was at the far end of the hallway after exiting the elevator, who even designed these like this?
"That will not be neccesary, just walk in." The voice Jenna said from the other side, with that voice the sound of locks opening was heard from the door, "It's just us anyway."
So Elizabeth shrugged and pushed open the door, the penthouse apartment was…more lackluster than she had expected.
Instead of solid gold all around, it was more minimalistic.
"They cheaped out in decoration right?" Jenna said from a sofa at the other end of the room, opposite of her was a person wearing a hood that covered their head, so Elizabeth could not see who they were.
"More likely that they decorated with the bare minimum, since this is a place where powerful people come to evaluate students, they may just want to not spend too much money when a fight eventually happens here." Rossie said from the side as she walked straight towards Jena.
"I can see some evidence of swords and destruction on the floor and walls, so Rossie may be right," Rena said, walking after Rossie.
"Good to see you again, Jenna," Elizabeth said as she followed suit.
Rossie was the first to arrive, and without looking for long at the other person, she merely sat on one of the sofas at the side; she sat at the far end of the sofa, and to her immediate left was Jenna on the couch to her left.
To her right, there was space for two people more, and in a diagonal from where she sat was the stranger. Rena came a few seconds later and sat on the far end of the sofa, obviously the same as Rossie. But to her right was the mysterious woman.
Elizabeth knew why Rena had sat there, she wanted to be close to the stranger in case a fight broke out, this way she could intercept faster, and stop her from attacking Rossie or Elizabeth.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Elizabeth Starbright." Elizabeth said as she sat between Rossie and Rena, "May I know who you are?"
Elizabeth was polite if nothing else; she wanted a good first impression with whoever could end up kidnaping Rossie for the foreseeable future…With some luck, she could be convinced to allow them to tag alone.
"....Lily Thompson," The woman said, removing her hood and raising her hand towards her face.
The first thing Elizabeth saw when the woman removed the hood was a gorgeous silver hair and white eyes that shone as the moon in the sky, the second thing was a mechanical respirator.
One that started moving and compresing itself into a series of ring on the hand of the woman, that…was not quite magic but Elizabeth couldn't help but notice that there seemed to be a very minuscule amount of Mana leaking from the woman's hand into the mask turned into rings.
"...Did you feel it?" The woman said, turning to Rossie.
"What?" Rossie asked confused.
"....Are you sure she is good?" The woman said, turning to Jenna, "The blonde noticed."
"We spoke about this Lily, you can't have my baby sister." Jenna said shaking her head.
"Eli-Eli?" Rossie said, turning to Elizabeth, "What is she talking about?"
"There was Mana….leaking? No…not leaking…she was emitting a faint trace of Mana from the mask into her fingers?" Elizabeth was not quite sure what she had felt, it wasn't like the Mana was leaking from her body, no. Even now, Elizabeth couldn't feel an ounce of Mana from the girl.
It was like she was standing in front of a civilian…
"Who are you?" Elizabeth asked confused, what…what was this girl?
"...Lily Thompson…The Sniper." The silver-haired girl said, puffing her chest out.
She was almost as pitiful as Rossie in that area, but Elizabeth couldn't perceive anything; if Jenna wasn't here, she would have thought the girl was just a weirdo.
"See Elizabeth? I told you, she is perfect for your psycho- I mean, for your pink girlfriend." Jenna said smiling, "She is among the best Mages of [The Twelve]."
The what now?
"...Not [Twelve] anymore…Jenna…not….there. Now…best Sorcerer of [Nine Stars]." The girl said in a small voice. Still puffing out her chest, wasn't that tiring?
"...She is a [Magical Girl]? I can't feel her Mana. And where is her focci? or shift?" Rossie asked confused.
Nothing of this girl was normal, how could… wasn't she [The Sniper]? Since when could one snipe using bullets?
"...Not [Magical Girl]...Sorcerer…” Lily said, puffing out her cheeks, "...Also….no [Shift]...Not….cosplayer….just magic user."
Elizabeth giggled at that, calling one of the most popular ways of using magic cosplaying…Elizabeth could feel Mother pulling her hair at the back and complaining about how her lifestyle was not something as simple as cosplaying.
"That doesn't answer my question, if you use Magic. Where is your Mana Core? Your Mana? You can't cast Magic without a focci or a mana core!" Rossie accused from the side.
"....why not?" The silver-haired girl said, tilting her head, "...you…. don't have….a focci either."
And pointed to Elizabeth after, "...also doesn't…have….focci…" Then did the same with Jenna.
"Hey! Don't mix me on that, my magic comes from Morganna and Merlin, and they both use staves!" Jenna said, crossing her arms in front of her.
"Hmm….Now that you mention it, I haven't used my staff either…My original [Shadow Weaver] form did have one…" Elizabeth did remember having one, but…she just kind of…never summoned again?
Did Rossie even have one? She had used…a Diary? At some point?
"....That is a good question, why don't you use focci?" Rena asked from the side, "Both [Law Bringer Sentinel] and [Lunar Shade] used focci right?"
Right…both of those girls did use focci, even if one used a rifle, but she still used a focci to shift from a civilian into a magical girl. One used a necklace, and the other used a bear plushie.
"I just….kind of didn't need it?" Elizabeth said confused, "Why would I use a focci if I can just…move the mana into…the form I need….ah."
“...see….she gets it….she is….smart.” The silver haired girl said nodding, “...I….want her…you can….keep the psychopath….”
Rude…
Rossie wasn't a psychopath, she was a cute psychopath, it was different, the first was a crazed monster, the other was an adorable one. And we all know adorable creatures get a free pass!
"Nope, besides you can't teach anything to Elizabeth can you?" Jenna asked to Lily.
“....I can teach her….how to….field strip a rifle…” [The Sniper] said, tilting her head to the side as if pretending to be all cute.
…And she was, but even so.
"I don't need to know how to do so, my magic is too volatile for that." Elizabeth answered.
"Besides she is the daughter of [Odyssey] do you really want to have her talking in your head? Do you want Lucia to nag at you too?" Jenna smirked at the silver-haired woman.
"....we will begin training at once," [The Sniper] said turning to Rossie, "....first lesson…You don't need to use….fancy light show….to cast…. Magic."
"What do you mean by fancy light show?" Elizabeth asked from the side, before Rossie even said anything.
“....Crazy murderer….cast a….spell…” Lily said pointing at Rossie.
She was not a crazy murderer dang it!
Rossie was a CUTE crazed murderer, it was not the same!
“[Divine]+[Infosec]+[Amp]+[Highest]+[Scan]+[Localized]+[True Divine] = Asclepius's Eyes!” Rossie said weaving the Spell nodes one by one, she carefully stacked each atop the next and fused them all into a complex magic circle.
So Rossie also was curious about what the deal was with Lily Thompson huh?
“....Fancy….lightshow…” The woman said raising her finger at the magic circle as it formed, "...Bang."
The woman merely said and a bullet of Mana formed atop of Lily's index finger and got shot at the spell circle as the girl said 'Bang', the spell diffused as the Mana was disrupted and against all that Elizabeth thought would happen.
The spell didn't create a backlash against Rossie as it should, the Mana merely counteracted itself and diffused into nothing.
"How?" Rossie asked flabbergasted, as Elizabeth was. The only people not surprised were Jenna and Rena.
The first obviously already knew it would happen, while Rena probably merely assumed that Lily had cast a counterspell, and…Elizabeth was not sure if the silver-haired woman had cast one or not.
“....I used….counterspell…it’s….basic knowledge…” The silver-haired woman said smugly as once more she puffed out her chest as if it was obvious.
"You didn't cast a spell, did you whispered [Idea]? No, even as a whisper we would have heard it, then a magic circle? No, I didn't see one…" Rossie said as she bit her thumb's nail again, cute. "A magical circle engraved? But how do I get a [Nine Stars] naked?"
“....can’t…get naked….on a first date….Papa said…..that is for….third base…” Lily Thompson said as she covered her chest with her hands and turned sideways.
"... Magic doesn't work like that, is it a [Skill]? No…Do you have a [Divine Skill] or a [Unique Skill]? One that lets your bullshit become something that looks like Magic?" Rossie ended up saying at the end of her loop of brainstorming.
"I'll answer that one, trust me on this." Jenna said turning to Rossie, "Lily is a 100% magic caster, she just…never followed on Elizabeth's mother footsteps."
Now that was interesting, someone who used Magic but didn't follow [The Mother Of Magic]?
How would such a person look? "Identify," Elizabeth would find out.
