Chapter 67: The new principal...should had seen this one coming.

The room was empty, also it wasn't as luxurious as Elizabeth thought, "Kinda cramped here isn't it?" Elizabeth said as she took in the room.

It didn't have much going, some diplomas hung on the walls, a couple trophies, a nice comfy-looking chair, a painting of what looked to be a gorgeous woman very well endowed with what seemed to be the perfect ratio in the hip to waist to chest.

"What do you think?" Agatha said as she walked into the room, "We tried to picture what [Odyssey] must look like using both oracles and the impression we have gotten from the [High Priestess] and [Acolytes]."

Elizabeth looked at the painting, then remembered how Mother looked…Then looked the image again…

"You got duped," Elizabeth said; the image on the painting was of the most beautiful woman she had ever seen; she was not only tall but had legs for days, the most gorgeous breasts, and a charming face, her hair seemed to flow freely, and her smile was placid.

Mother never in her life could tolerate having long hair; she loved it, of course, but she hated taking care of it, same with the makeup. Elizabeth had inherited her laziness from somewhere, and it hadn't been from Papa.

"I suspected as much," Agatha said with a sigh as she sat down.

Elizabeth turned to look at Agatha and found her quite comfortably on the principal's chair, she couldn't help but arch an eyebrow at the [Witch] 's behavior, but Agatha merely pointed at something with her finger.

Following that line, Elizabeth found Agatha's name on the desk…

  [Principal Agatha Moonstone.]

  [The Witch of Walpurgis.]

"You are the new principal?" Elizabeth couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah, turns out that when you are the last teacher who isn't on the shit list of your new [Gods], it is very hard to not be thrown at the front." Agatha said with a shrug, "Your Mother's meddling also helped; I didn't quite understand why she kept cursing all the people that wanted to take this spot till this morning, but now it all makes sense."

"What did they want to do to Eli-Eli?" Rossie said narrowing her eyes in a cute(But murderous[?])ly way.

"*Sigh* They wanted to sample her [Soul], as someone who managed to survive against a [Soul]-leech, she is quite valuable." Agatha answered.

Elizabeth didn't know when she survived a [Soul]-leech...

"What [Soul]-leech did I encounter?" Elizabeth decided to ask, she didn't remember any of those...unless... "Was it Ethan? How did they find out about that? I had thought that the [Advent] erased everyone's memories."

She would need to rethink how much information she...no wait, she had allowed her full Status screen to go into the wards so the principal would know that she was to be respected...

  But the principal was Agatha...

"Who the hell is Ethan? No, your encounter with Akira, after examining the evidence left around we determined that his existence was akin to a [Soul]-leech, he grew stronger using other people's souls. We suspect he was brainwashing people's minds and souls for that same reason." Agatha said, dismissing entirely Ethan, who had acted more like a leech than Akira ever did.

If anything, he was the one who had actually stuck to her [Soul] like a leech trying to drain her of her life as a parasite.

Akira on the other hand? He was a leecher if anything, not so much as a leech. Granted, he had brainwashed plenty of girls, but was it to steal things from them?

Besides their purity? He threw them away after using them once, the only one that he never threw away he abused both physically and psychologically on a daily basis.

"So, this council of mages knew what Akira did?" Elizabeth asked in what surprised her as it was an even and calm tone. "You knew what he did?"

How was she keeping her cool? She would have thought that this information would be enough to make her go out of control. But instead she was feeling herself being quite calm and controlled.

Elizabeth was half suspecting more mind tampering, but a quick check of herself found the reason; her mana was being soothed by the presence of Rena and Rossie.

"The Council had evidence of some of his victims since they needed to deal with the aftermath," Agatha said, all but confirming what Elizabeth already knew. "As for me...I knew of some of them, not all. It was way worse than I thought and I apologize for not being able to help you Rena."

"It's fine, all ended well. And it was thanks to them not helping me that I was able to meet and get to know Elizabeth." Rena said shaking her head, how could someone be this cute?

"...Indeed, your terrible job helped us find out more about Rena. Had it not happened like that I would have never allowed her to get this close to us, and in turn. We would have never found out the chemistry we have when sharing Eli-Eli," Rossie added to the mix.

Getting a slight blush from Agatha.

Was that blush cute? Somewhat, but even so it wasn't enough for Elizabeth to get her interested in the older woman. So that was a good thing to find out, it meant that Elizabeth wasn't as degenerated as her Mother.

"Either way, I had to apologize for that. And for not telling you about my new identity, but if I had told you...you wouldn't have shared your full data would you....." Agatha said as she sent some mana into her desktop and then three shining blue screens manifested atop of it.

  Leaving Agatha speechless.

Oh right, they had just granted her access to their true status hadn't they? Or, well, at least the one that was available in Zaanam, the one from Terra Nexus, was still hiding. Not that it was better. The power was roughly the same with some...differences. Mostly on the race aspect.

"...How?" Agatha said turning to Elizabeth, "How did you progress this much?"

How? Well that was easy to answer, "I did my best," Elizabeth said while smiling and nodding.

"She did her best," Rossie said at the side while hugging Elizabeth's arm.

"That she did," Rena said while also hugging Elizabeth's other arm, albeit somewhat shily and unlike Rossie, she hid her face as she did so.

Yes, the cute creature here was adorable.

Elizabeth couldn't help but nod at the appreciation and love she was getting, "You don't achieve S-Tier levels of power by just doing your best, this..." On the other hand, Agatha seemed to have a problem with her status. "Is not achieved by doing your best."

"Then how did you jump from C-Tier to A-Tier?" Elizabeth in turn asked.

Getting Agatha to stop for a few seconds and sigh, "Your Mother shoved her divinity my way...Wait, did you also get that treatment? Then why is she pestering me to stalk you? If you got that power from her, she should be able to look through your eyes, too."

That was one scary thought to have, the fact that Elizabeth could be admiring (Respectfully) Rossie's figure or Rena's abs and Mother could be at the back of her eyes also oogling her girlfriends...Eating popcorn, watching her...In a 4k TV with surround sound system...

"Oh god no, never. Mother offered me a few jobs that would make me her acolyte, and I threw them into the trash can. Would you have your parents look through your eyes while you snuggle with your boyfriend or girlfriend? Or whatever you have?" Elizabeth said shaking her head vigorously.

"I have your Mother at the back of my mind, how do you think my love life is?" Agatha said with despair in her voice.

"... I'm sorry for your loss," Elizabeth said, praying to Agatha's unexisting love life.

Having Mother at the back of her mind and having a normal date was probably impossible.

"Thank you, anyway. So it turns out you have S-Tier power and your....friends have close to A+ Tier power levels." Agatha said, shaking her head, "And let's pretend I do not see these titles. I would need to report them to the [Nine Stars] if I saw them after all."

Agatha said dismissing the blue screens, what was the problem with the titles?

Elizabeth didn't see any, "What is the problem with the titles?" So she asked as such.

"First the three of you have the [Awakened] title, this means you have been touched by a [God]. Be it a local, fake or [Odyssey]/[Framework] we do not know which one is." Agatha started by pulling smaller blue screens with those names. "Well, except for you, Elizabeth, since you also have this one, which brings more problems than it solves."

And there Agatha pulled her [Daughter of the Gods] title.

Elizabeth knew that would cause more problems than it was worth! But then again, she couldn't do anything about it, since that one also served as a shield against other outer gods and evil ones.

"No, the problem isn't only this, but these ones." Agatha said, pulling two extra blue boxes [The Saintess of Healing] and [Sword Saint]. Rossie and Rena's titles as [Heroes of Aetheria]...

  Oh...

"Their titles as [Heroes] from another world?" Elizabeth asked.

"So you knew, of course you did. How much confidential data did your Mother send...What do you mean you didn't...Then...She found out on her own? That is not how this works...That is not how any of it works..." Agatha started speaking to herself, or more than likely to Elizabeth's Mother.

"Mother, please let Agatha speak with us, you can always bother her later when we leave." Elizabeth said aloud, getting a wince from Agatha.

"Of course she speaks like that, you are undermining my authority [Odyssey]-" Agatha then went on to keep arguing with Elizabeth's Mother.

  So she was painted here?

  How was she supposed to-

"Do it," Elizabeth said before Alice finished explaining.

"Is something going to happen Eli-Eli?" Rossie asked picking up on Elizabeth's words before Agatha even reacted.

What followed next was a pulse of Divine Mana that seemed to interwind with something around Agatha for a few seconds before it turned to silence, more silence than she expected.

It was almost as if something had been evicted.

"Oh..." Elizabeth said as the other new screens showed up.

"...so quiet..." Agatha said as she relaxed. "It has been ages since it was this quiet...Whatever you did, Elizabeth, thank you... genuinely thank you."

Agatha seemed as if she was relaxed for the first time in so long.

  But at what cost.

Elizabeth didn't want to even think about what this would cause, but at least it hadn't been her fault, she would not take the blame for this. It had been Alice's plan, so they would deal with it.

"Any way we can keep it this way? I don't mind having [Odyssey] at the back if I'm to be honest, but being able to shut her? God, I would sell my Soul for this." Agatha said, stretching; the woman seemed to have some pent-up stress.

"Absolutely no." Rossie was the first to answer.

"Eli…are you into older women? I…I can make mine grow again…Or showcase them like her if you want…" Rena on the other hand seemed panicked.

"What?" Agatha was confused at this development and stared weirdly at the two girls.

"What? No…I don't find her that good-looking." Elizabeth said, confused, "Why would you both say that?"

"You were considering it." Rossie said seriously, "Taking her in."

  Take who what?

"Taking this…Woman in, that is what she offered. To sell her Soul to you for the sweet reprieve from Mother-in-law." Rena added in a sad tone.

  Take Agatha in…

  Why would that…

  Oh….oooooh.

"No, nope. Not going to happen." Elizabeth said, "I mean, not all the people I take in needs to enter into a relationship with me."

Elizabeth said defending her honor, "We have…" And then to make her point even more solid, Elizabeth started thinking about the people she had taken in, surely she could name a few….

"We have….?" Rossie said with a knowing smile on her face and walked behind Rena who she hugged from behind, "We have Rena here yes."

"Yes, we have me." Rena said, nodding and getting hold of Rossie's hands, cute. "Who else?"

  …

  Dang it!

"We have Aura!" Elizabeth said finally coming with a name, "Also the people [The Shadow Tide] killed!"

Those too! They were around…probably…If they hadn't been turned into Shadow Dragons, Fire Salamanders or Thunder birbs…

She hoped they hadn't been twisted against their will into something else, she would be very pissed if they had.

"If what Aura said was true, you did impose yourself on her though." Rossie said, summoning a blue screen with a play button.

  How had she…

"Aura shared with us both the audio, video and some photos." Rena said from the side, "...In case we found out later, Rossie almost killed her, but when Aura declared that she had no feelings whatsoever for you, be it lust after your body or love for you. We decided to forgive her,"

"Forgive her? Not me?" Elizabeth asked confused, shouldn't she be the one to be forgiven?

"She explained us that she took advantage of the situation and placed herself in a position to be taken advantage, she IS one of the best [Space Mages] around. So it is impossible for her to be taken advantage of unless she wants." Rossie said with a grumble, "I still don't like it, but she did have some good points, and we will wash out her scent from your body later. From all your bodies."

…Elizabeth couldn't help but blush at the mental image of Rossie and Rena scrubbing her clean in the bathroom, both with and without sponges.

"Excuse me…" Agatha said raising her hand. "I don't swing that way."

  Well that was just rude.

"Like I said, I don't feel like sleeping with one of my Mother's friends. Besides, you aren't my type." Elizabeth said again while sighing, "Besides, if I were to take a guess, what you would need to be freed from Mother is more radical, at least from my memory."

Elizabeth remembered seeing something about Agatha before, but just in case "Identify," she invoked her [Skill] at full power.

"Yeah, just as I thought. You would need to change jobs into another first, even if we took you under our umbrella, at best we could run some interference, but Mother would still be able to peek at you." Elizabeth said shaking her head, "What we did just now is more of a…hiccup, it was probably Alice and Chloe's way of meeting Mother and distracting her now that we are close. It should stop working when we leave or are away."

Elizabeth didn't mind that either, the fact that Alice and Chloe could speak with Mother…It meant that she was willing to entertain them, and that was good. At least it meant that she didn't see them as mere clones or imitations.

Mother was always…weird like that anyway.

"It couldn't be that easy, huh." Agatha said, collapsing into her chair. "I don't…I won't change my job away from [Odyssey] she has helped me greatly, even if she is like that… So I guess I will just come around from time to time, if that is okay?"

  That was…surprising.

Elizabeth didn't think there were that many people that could tolerate or survive her Mother unfiltered, the fact that Agatha was even willing to remain like that? Yeah, she could respect that.

"And with that out of the way, why are we here?" Elizabeth said, turning once more to the matter at hand.

She had thought the principal wanted to speak with her because of her…problems with the [Nine Stars] and the [Galaxidae], she did give her name as [Villain] to the [Nine Stars] after all.

"Well, that is simple. I want to make sure you understand what you are about to face, your Mother told me that you wanted to fight against some people. So before that, I want you to be aware, before you antagonize them." Agatha said, snapping her fingers and dissipating all the blue screens that were floating around, "I want to tell you what I know about the [Galaxidae] and what I learned after becoming the principal."

Well well well….could it be…could it be that Elizabeth would finally fight with some intel?
