It’s nighttime, as Kelsey, Mai and Saige sleep around a campfire in the middle of a field of grass. Meanwhile, in Saige’s dream, Saige finds himself back in the fight with Gallagar and holding a giant fireball over his own head. “Oh I’m not done”, Saige says with a menacing look and red eyes. Saige then slowly brings the fireball down on Gallagar, while partially synching his face. “Y’AAAAAAAHHHH!!!”, Gallagar yells. Saige then turns his head and sees an old woman, “Demon!”, she calls out. “No no, I’m not...”. Saige says in worry, as he looks at Gallagar to see half his face is melted off. “I didn’t mean to.”, Saige says. “Liar! And you killed your own mother too.”, the woman echoes back. Saige then wakes up.
He notices Mai touching his stomach. “Hey.”, Mai says with concern. “Oh uh hey.”, Saige says, trying to seem fine. “You mumble in your sleep.”, says Mai. “Did I? Sorry about that. Guess it was how I snore?”, says Saige, trying to not worry her about himself. “I also heard some choice words you were rambling on about. You wanna talk about it?”, says Mai. Saige just goes quiet and gives a sigh.
Saige and Mai now sit next to eachother near the campfire. Saige’s hesitant to talk, but then eventually starts. “Where do I start? I guess ever since I was young, I always felt like I was a monster.”, says Saige. “I see”, says Mai. “Yeah”, says Saige. There’s then just a brief moment of quietness in between them.

“That’s it?”, Mai asks. “What do you mean that’s it.”, says Saige. “I get it, but that’s all?”, Mai asks. “Well I was about to get into the rest of it.”, says Saige with abit of an irritated look. “Oh. Go ahead.”, says Mai. “...I guess.. that kinda is it. I always grew up thinking that the world thought of me as a monster, cause I have these abilities.”, says Saige. “Saige, you’re not a monster.”, says Mai. “Easy to say, but through the stuff I managed to do. Like grow horns and almost kill Gallagar like that. Show I really am more of a demon than I think I am.”, says Saige. “Where is this coming from exactly? Cause me and Kelsey think you’re alright. And we think your powers come in handy really well.”, says Mai.
“But what if I end up hurting one of you, even by accident? I couldn't forgive myself.”, says Saige. “Saige you seem to have a comfortable control over your powers. I trust you won’t hurt us.”, says Mai. “...If you say so.”, says Saige. “I practically.. I feel I know so. I feel we can trust you. You just need to trust in yourself.”, says Mai. “...Alright.”, says Saige, still feeling abit of concern still. “Now, is that all or is there anything more you wanted to talk about?”, says Mai. “Nah.”, says Saige.
“So you wanna go back to sleep?”, asks Mai, as she stands up and puts her hands on her hips. “Ah, I think I wanna stay up abit longer.”, says Saige. “Then I’ll stay up with you.”, says Mai. “...Thanks Mai.”, says Saige. “Don’t mention it.”, says Mai. Mai sits back down and the two sit for awhile through the night.
